It's not there. Just have to wait. No news good news !!! (I hope).

it's a bit strange, the credit card payment in easyjethotels is instantaneous, what do yo refer when you say "my credit card payment for easyjethotels was pending"?

online I can check my transactions and they always go into pending for a couple of days before they hit my account - I rang the credit card company and they've confirmed that it's definitely not on my account any more. Not sure whether to sit this out as I do have a booking confirmation. I might email the hotel directly to check they have us booked in

They probably won't have any record of your booking yet. If you have booking confirmation it should be fine, they seem to take about 6 working days before it appears on your CC statement. HTH.

    From Easyjethotels:

    28. I've just phoned my hotel and they have no record of my reservation. Why has this happened?

We have a guaranteed allotment of rooms every night of the year with our contracted hotels. We only need to inform the hotel of who will be filling those rooms a couple of days in advance. Therefore, if you contact the hotel before this time they will not yet have your name or recognise your booking reference. Please don't worry - once we confirm your reservation to you, it is guaranteed.

funny you should mention this but i booked with my credit card a week ago and it hasnt appeared yet there is no cancellation email and an agreement on a full refund (maybe there arent taking the money anymore now for full refund claims LOL.)

Marbles, the worst online system for credit cards ever is crashing this morning so i cannot check.
  • Thanks for your advice, maybe they had to check the card would authorise the amount first and will then charge it properly soon  Will keep an eye on it.

Thanks again for this wonderful find.
  • I found that when I had booked with EJH, the transaction took quite a while before it was finally debited to my credit card account, about 6 days I think.

Last night i booked 2 rooms at Caransa hotel in Amsterdam with e/jet for a total of £1382

Then i booked 1 room at the same hotel with e/jet for a cost of £691

I then e-mailed e/jet with information that the above hotel was available MUCH cheaper.

2 rooms with travelrepublic came in at £629
    and
1 room with find-rooms came in at £319

    Massive differences.

i have just received a reply to the claim i made for 2 rooms.

And this is what is said.

I have checked all three web-sites you have given to me and here are the results:

https://www.quickrooms.co.uk - not an existing website (screen shot enclosed)

https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk - only one room available for the dates you have booked with us.

https://www.diytravel.co.uk - hotel NH Caransa is available and I have prepared a Price Guarante Claim on your behalf for that web-site with the price of £775.80 (screen-shot also enclosed)

Your claim has been sent for approval to our Head Office and as soon as I receive their approval I will contact you again.

Thank you for booking with us.

    Best Regards,

I have just replied to the above e-mail as i have checked with travel republic and the 2 rooms ARE AVAILABLE on the same dates. And are still available for £629 so where he was looking i dont know.

I have sent 2 screen shots. 1 from last night, and 1 from today, which even shows the page where you can input your credit card details. So the hotel is there and available to be booked.

Has anyone any ideas as to how this will go. As i feel i should stand my ground. I know that they are giving me something of the holiday, but it should be free.

I wouldn't mind but thomascook, diy-trave hotel pronto all had this hotel much cheaper that e/jet.

    Sorry if this has been covered before (I have read the whole thread but it was a few days ago!);

Can claims for 'double room' be made when the Easyhotel listing states 'double/twin standard' ?

Is Octopus Travel an acceptable comparison site?

    Many thanks
