  • "Laterooms" are a booking service. You pay the hotel, so the price is actually in "local currency" they do a conversion for your convienience
Ok if its a UK hotel though.
Hi Budgetflyer - do you think the laterooms would be OK for UK hotels ?

Ive not used them, so cant confirm either way. If you use the ones that definetly qualify, stick to the t&cs, you cant go wrong.
Fancy being a test case ?

Thanks for all your comments regarding the likes of Laterooms being used as a comparison.

I asked because I have found a few half price or less rooms on Laterooms and have used them in successful price promise claims previously both with DaysInn and LondonTown.com. I have been using this process for nearly a year now, scouring for cheaper prices (with LondonTown.com and Days Inn as previously mentioned, although LondonTown do only let you claim once). But LondonTown.com do not specify that you couldn't use Hotel Branded websites or that it has to be an ABTA bonded agent so I was just testing the water by asking about LateRooms.

If I decide to book using them as a comparison I'll let you know!

    Cheers
    Caroline
  • What sort of timescales are people experiencing with their claims? I made a claim last Sunday, received a request for screenshots a few days after, promptly sent them, and have heard nothing. I've chased both Customer Services and Head Office via e-mail but they haven't replied.
  • My claim recently took about 10 days - they apologised for the delay but said their head office have had a lot of claims recently

By the way, looking at LateRooms T&C's would suggest that EJH will not use them for claims:-
Your credit card details are used purely to secure the reservation and payment is made directly to the hotel on arrival or departure unless otherwise stated in the hotel's cancellation policy.

The room is not paid for upfront.

Does anybody know if easyjet will aceept quick rooms as a comparison site - found an absolute bargain but don't want to book if I can't get double the difference. Can't see why not as price is in £'s and is the same room

Thanks all in advance - TBeckett - I am sure you know the answer

I think we should be checking T&C on each site - looks like quickrooms is a service provider, but it's not that clear as for example for Laterooms or Priceline..
Quickrooms is a trading name of The Global Travel Group Plc. This site is
operated and controlled by ResDirect International on it's behalf. References to "Quickrooms", "our", "we or
"us" refer and directly relate to ResDirect International. In all cases The Global Travel Group Plc act's as agent
and not principle for any bookings made via this site. Furthermore it should be noted that in some cases
ResDirect may act only as booking agent on behalf of accommodation owners and therefore, your contract
may be made directly with them. In these cases, once the contract is made, the accommodation owner is
responsible to you in order to provide you with what you have booked and you are responsible to pay for it, in
each case subject to these booking conditions, and any other terms and conditions specific to that particular
    accommodation.
