Free Barcelona Hotel Loopyhole

Thanks to everyone for this fantastic thread - amazing offer!

I have my fingers crossed that it works as if so I found a hotel in Barcelona for 4 people, 2 night stay B&B should be £1226 in June for free! Have booked and claimed, yet to hear anything (3days) but if it works am happy to pass on details to anyone.

Anyway I was wondering if this scheme works to any of the further afield places on easyjethotels.co.uk? I have looked at New York hotels and once it didn't have the double the difference guarantee under the search results but another time I looked i'm sure it did? Am I just seeing things or does this work to? Would so love a free hotel in New York :-)!!!!!!!!!!

I think as long as you can find the hotels on the easyjet website, then they have the double difference guarantee, no matter where it is.

strange thought but how about a little bit of own research for a free hotel stay? just a wonderment.

i did have a look and was only asking that if some one found any deals if they could let me know (like i had offered to do with the free hotel in madrid in july /aug)

Just received an email from "Support Hotelopia" - that my claim had been forwarded to their Head office. - but after sending 2 emails to their customer support.

Sorry to sound stupid but if the other hotel is cheaper than easyjet, will easyjet refund my money plus double the difference? Or to I actually have to go with the easyjet hotel still?

The way the guarantee works is that you book and pay for your hotel with EasyJetHotels. If you then find a cheaper deal elsewhere, and it conforms to the terms and conditions of the guarante, EasyJetHotels will refund you double the difference AFTER you have completed your stay.

Of course the trick is to do all your research BEFORE you book and then, having booked with EasyJetHotels, get your claim in pronto.

Just another tip

Ive found using hotelscomparison.com it only delivers first 150 results. These could include cheap 2* hotels +apts for big cities/resorts etc where you arent getting a big price differential.
Ive found amending my search to ONLY include 4 or 5 star often produces just as many search results, they are better quality hotels in a higher price bracket, but often the differential is greater so you increase your chances of a freebie.

3 very silly questions im guessing (see my sig :rolleyes: ) ok found on thomas cook the same hotel we want to stay in on our summer holiday at almost double the cost on the easyjet website..checked and double checked all details the same..
now to convince hubby to pay..
i cant find the double the difference guarantee on the easyjet website..only 'the difference'
and who do i contact?? to claim the difference with my screenshots etc
finally, as someone said earlier, the refund is after the stay, have those that have done this got confirmation that this is what happens?
