Of course no one died of boredom! You'd be a brilliant teacher - look at the way the numbers following your blog have gone up and up!
I was thinking of you yesterday when I took a little walk after I *finally* finished work. I often go to a duckpond, but easy access has been blocked for a few weeks while the council were rebuilding a little bridge over a deep stream. Now its done, I went backand a house that faces the duckpond is having some renovation work - there were **two** pallets in their skip! I wish there was an economical way to get them to you
In admiring the pallets, I did see some broken roof tiles in there, so I took 3 - the plan is to lay them around between shrubs as a weed suppressant. Obviously, you can't do too much of that, because the whole point about roof tiles is that they *don't* let the water in, but I quite like the shape of them, and after all, I'm only wittering on about 3 - tho I might go back and get a few more today
Hooray to paid work, and that volunteer work leads somewhere really soon :j
Keiss, I hope your DS2 isn't in too much pain and can still sleep, its sounding like a really bad break now
Bye for now :hello:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Pippi - could you please clear some space in your PM box? Ta!"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Of course nobody died of boredom! I bet they all had a fab time, I reckon you were great! :T :T :T0

Bet your classes are FAB Pippi!!
Thanks for your kind comments about DS2...he seems to be coping, the paracetamol/neurofen combo seems to be working pretty well :j
He's off to college again today in his bright red cast...looks rather snazzy! Looking into a waterproof cover for his cast. The hospital gave him a leaflet, but need to measure him, so will wait until this afternoon when he's back home.
DH is taking DS1 back to uni today..so htey are busy, busy atm, suppose I should be helping them..only get told to leave them to it though.
Need to get washed and dressed, been looking at 2nd-hand cars on the net. Our estate is not looking too great atm, though we are coping. We know it won't get through the next MOT in Feb, so we are thinking of getting one sooner rather later and waiting for it to conk out when we are driving somewhere...could be sooo dangerous! Also, the road-tax is due by the end of October, so a good time to look. Pippi, we are looking at cars like yours believe it or not! (not Darwin, though I tried).
Looks like this Sunday will be "hunt the car and test drive" day! :j
Have another lovely day, whether you have the sunshine or not

Today - 1 hour garden work, eggs to drop off and other things to dolike prepare for class, do a bit of planting and a bit of scoping/tiny plant investigation for old boss (which may lead to a bit proper research/flower paid work next year, like a real proper plant research person - oh my)
Banks to check and I think I have a potential investor in a large plastic cover for the tunnel (Mr F has notioned an inclination to become a share holder in the flower emporium) we're negotiating terms.....................:)
Its all flowers and wellies on here at the moment..................
Banks etc back in a blink.
Ok tight as normal - one account has enough for the monthly charge at the start of the month (free service on that one run out), the other has the rent in it and about £30 to spare.
CC's not too bad, no spends aside a few reduced bits and petrol yesterday. I'll be glad when this month is over for many reasons.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Yay to investors in the flower scheme! :T :T :T
And that cheery lady is YOU! (although you may not recognise it :rotfl: :rotfl:) she started off with a beach hut and a telescope and lots of hats, but my sewing skills weren't quite up to a telescope and a giant pile of hats all one on top of the other, so she ended up with just one enormous hat and a beach hut instead:rotfl:

Glad you had a busy day yesterday Pippi, my, you got loads done!
:j to more work; new polytunnel cover and forthcoming adventures :j
Once I have made some choc-beetroot brownies this morning; waxed the 1/4 round wood edging to go round edge of flooring; done a couple of loads of washing, potted up some violas (150 of them !) and done a general tidy-up, I am off to convert DS1's room into a Crafting Room!! :T
It's only while he is away at Uni, but I am so looking forward to having all my materials in one place and out, so I can work out what I actually have! Then I can get cracking and make lots of things, my head is spinning with lots of ideas.
So if I am awol for a bit, don't be worried, I will be having great fun sewing/knitting/crafting!
Have a lovely day/weekend all!
