Look at that PAD figure in your sig! Thats really good! But oops to needing more rent money - will it materialise????
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Hey KC yeah the pads are working (but I spend on the cards too, so I pad them almost everyday) - rent money yup should turn up this week and between teaching/gardening and a bit other work that would be covered through paid work this month too

    Hope you're good

Elderberries (one carrier bag) turned into Jelly (5 largish jars) rather than cordial - tbh I can't taste the difference between them and brambles (when a syrup) anyone else find that? And, they are a darn bit easier to collect than brambles (but more footery to process)

Although I am a bit purple mitted at the moment and the kitchen is a bit purply too

:jto purpley hands and kitchen Pippi :j

Must go a rummaging in our hedge....still quite a few brambles ripening, which can go with the red and blackurrants in the freezer. :D

Just back from the fracture clinic...looks like he has broken his scaphoid as well as fracturing his wrist! Got to go back and get it re-Xrayed in two weeks time just to make sure the scaphoid has actually been broken as it isn't showing up in Monday's x-ray, but the pain, swelling and restricted movement are indicating that it is broken. What a boy! I did get a bit on knitting done, so not a wasted morning ;)

Need to give dad a ring to update him on the broken grandson, then off into town for some invigilating!

It's going to be hot in the computer room (on-line tests), so I will keep the skirt on, rather than don some trousers...plenty of time for them in the coming months, just need to make the most of the last of the sunny weather. :A

Enjoy the lovely weather the rest of this week xx

  • Oh dear Keiss - poor boy thats a youcher.

Well not much happenning here - class last night (no one died of boredom) had a walk round and then a blather on about planning and hedging

Late home - bit of a raid of reduced stuff (only one shop, poor show on my part - tired) mushrooms, chicory, lettuce, lemon grass and reduced bread

Off to check the banks - today I've two hours paid gardening and 2.5 hours volunteer working at the recycling site building some bays from pallets.

    Hope you're all good

Morning Stripes, my DS1 was asking how long it would take us to get to Orkney last night. So if the offer stands perhaps next year? Could do with blowing some cobwebs away! Weather has been fab here and I'm off today. Glad the class went well.

Of course - we'll work with your dates :)

Hmm from you - either a long drive upto Thurso/John o Groats - from Edinburgh - that takes us a good 5-6 hour drive - often folk break it up by staying over in Inverness......ferry that way only 1-1.5hrs and views amazing

Otherwise you can do it from Aberdeen - from you - ? 4 hours? which has the long ferry - you can do either route - one way up other way back.

I've all the bumph for you here - not much use here is it? Lol I'll post you a pile of stuff :)
