Morning, totally agree about safe places being a menace :D:rotfl:

Well, good news and bad news to report:

Good: niece's parcel (with bag I made for her) has at last turned up this morning.:j:j It took 11 days to get to Edinburgh!:eek: She loves it, which I'm really pleased about. :)

    Bad
: DS2 has a hairline fracture of his wrist, picked up in rugby training yesterday afternoon. So spent the early evening in A&E, though we got out much earlier than the projected 3.5 hours wait. This was mainly due to DS2 almost passing out in A&E reception!
:eek:So he got a comfy trolley to lie on, a cubicle to stay in and we got seen by a doctor much earlier! :T

I don't really recommend this speedy way through A&E, but it worked! I was worried about him for quite a bit though. We were out within 2.5 hours, and that included a trip to X-ray and getting his cast put on. We picked up a bucket from K£C on the way home for tea, which was soooo nice, ages since we had something from there! :D

Tomorrow he needs to go to the fracture clinic to get a proper cast on, they only put a light-weight one on last night, mainly bandages and a bit of plaster. So the hospital car park makes yet more money out of us :(

I need to get things done this morning before heading off to pick up DS2 from college at lunch time...no training for him for a bit, which is a great shame as he was really getting back into his rugby again. Would you believe, despite his history of injuries, this is actually the first time he has broken anything!!

Have a lovely day everyone...if you can ;)

Oh dear Keiss! :( Hope he's alright :(

((pippi) hope you find your hard drive! Binding's so expensive isn't it?? Cheeky blighters - nobody's ever going to read the darn thing anyway! I had all mine soft bound, didn't even get a hard copy for myself, it was already about £11 a copy I think. Printing too costs a bloody fortune - I had myself a copy printed and spiral bound at a copy shop and it was £32! Good to be rid of it though :D
  • Keiss eeek (()) from us.

Hard drive looked like butter wouldn't melt when I opened the drawer at work.

    Pesky thing.

Cold here not achieved much today, drat.

Hope you are all good x

Great you found the hard drive all safe and sound Pippi, these safe places find their way everywhere!!!

DS2 is doing fine, considering. He went to college today and got plenty of sympathy and commiserations. He is coping pretty well, taking paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain...even forgets to take them sometimes! The cast is doing it's job of imobilizing the hand and wrist...he found it most painful when he tried to rotate his wrist yesterday. He could have the cast on for 6 weeks, so that dents his training and playing programme somewhat!!

We've had a family meal out at Pi$$a Expre$$ tonight, our last chance before DS1 heads off back to Uni. They gave DS2 a pizza cutter, so he could cut up his pizza himself, really good of them. :D

Need to get some ironing done...how did the pile get so big again!!

Have a great day tomorrow everyone x

Yep, eye problems are the Schnauzer's downfall.

Sorry to hear about DS's broken wrist Keiss, but love that Pizza Co were so thoughtful.

Pippi, I'm glad you found the HD!

glad you found that hard drive, safe places are so not safe, they run off with things and you often never find them again so i'm glad it hadn't made away with the drive before you caught up with it.

found another house we think, exactly like the other one structure wise but on a corner so not all back garden it's back and side garden if that makes sense. There's also a really big garage and drive way because it's on a corner. Now have to decide how to play it.

Ouch to the broken wrist and hoorah for painkillers - I'm back on the strong'uns myself as I fell over yesterday and hurt my silly leg again......*sigh* Anyway, a day spent mostly asleep, and also looking after DD who had a gruesome D&V bug *shudder* and I'm feeling quite a bit better, ish if I don't move much. Must try and go to work tomorrow as I've got lots on, so fingers crossed DD is 100% by the morning and that I can safely drive 5 miles!

And....gulp, I now have the date for my operation, and its very soon, eek!! Lots to organise now.
