Well done Maty and Pippi is so right. It is very MSE to have a companion. I meet so many lovely people. I do believe also that if I didnt have Moo there would have been days when I did not get out of bed. Good on you for turning a big life changing event into the opportunity to fulfill your dreams.

Ps I love schnauzers and Roderick is a perfect name for a breed who has so much grumpiness in their face (even if they are not grumpy they do always make me smile at their frowning eyebrows which make them look a tad grumpy)

Maty - congratulations on the schnauzer! And fancy your boss saying that to you and then you ending up redundant after all! But lovely to name him in memory of your brother ....

Pippi - thats a good plan there! It has to be an outline, needs to be flexible, but I think you've got it - you know what I mean :)

Nice idea but not really wanting to make wine, not something I've ever been interested in - the only one who'd drink it is me and that seems a waste from the family point of view iyswim - nice idea though.

    :A thanks!

Hey up Chucks. Grand morning here, sun shine, sky as blue as wedgwood china plates and fine spindly wispy clouds floating around. Good to be alive kinda day (shame I am working on my computer). Still the red kites outside the window are cheering me up.

Pippi, how about this recipe http://www.eatweeds.co.uk/elderberry-cordial-syrup. Not tried it myself but one I have bookmarked. Elderflowers have been rubbish here this year. Not seen any berries yet either.

Afternoon all...hope you are having a wonderful day. Nice and sunny here...getting loads of washing dried...it was wet most of yesterday. Didn't got to Uni Open Day as DS2 and I both felt rubbish. :( It is the one that he is least likely to go to or get an offer from, so it wasn't a disaster

Glad you got some fruit picked Pippi, we have a freezer full of black and red-currants, so I really should do something with them...if only to give us more room in the freezer! :)

I've been out and about today in the BIG toon today, getting new wall lights for the conservatory. Think they go alright, will get DH to wire them in when he gets home tonight. Also got some wallpaper to line the drawers of the sideboard...for free! :D Took a longish "sample"
(only enough for the drawers)...a full roll was £16.99 and I wasn't paying that!

So glad I went to the show on Saturday, as it was lovely, the warmest I have know it at the Autumn Show! I bought a few bulbs, plants and some Xmas pressies. No cards this time as I really need to use up the ones I have already!

Right, off to get some more knitting done...my activity of choice when I am feeling fidgety! It's quite sociable to knit and natter, or listen, I do it all the time!! :rotfl: I have finished knitting the socks for dad's birthday next week, so only need to graft the toe and I am done :j.

Need to check with niece to see if her present has turned up yet...really cross if it has been lost. :(

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
