maty can't wait until we can see piccies of little Rodders.
I'm so desperate for a dog, but as you all know the one i dream of is a sausage dog. Part of the whole dissapointment about losing the house was because we could have a puppy if we had a house.
We're gonna see three houses tomorrow and my try and book another one in whilst we're off but we've still to get even one person to look around our flat :( it just sucks!

LT, dont give up hope. Is there any way that you could rent the flat out and rent a house somewhere. Then after renting the flat for 6 months you can apply for a mortgage with the mortgage on the flat being ignored. You can continue to pay the residential mortgage in most cases until any fixed rate runs out with a consent to let. There are ways for you to get the house you want. Just takes a bit of creative thinking sometimes. Maybe you can find a house where the owner wants to downsize and would consider a part exchange

Oh LT I feel for you.

My Dad was in the RAF so we were told we could have a dog when he retired, the it was when we could fence in the (acre) garden, then we all left home and started work.

I have been waiting soooooo long for this, but your time will come. You may need to be creative like Mrs Moo suggests.

Rodders had his eye test today and passed with flying colours :D 13 days to go :j

now i'm wondering how you can test a doggies eyes, i've always wondered about how you test a pre school child's eyes but never until now wondered about a doggie.
I've thought about trying to keep the flat and renting it out and getting a house but i really don't want the risk to be honest. there's a real risk i could be made redundant in 2-3 years time so i don't want to dig myself into a hole that i can't get out of IYKWIM. Realistically we can just wait until the flat sells then find our dream house, i just thought we'd found it. Eventually the flat will sell, it will just take time.
  • It will take time LT but don't mean it aint frustrating in the mean time - hugely!

Morning all - not caught up yet

Can't appear to find my hard drive - external, all work on for ever (its where I back everything up to) - eek. More tidying and searching today had it last week for garden class presentation and then put in back of car - might be in one of two bags or behind the books at my squatting desk at work I'm reliving my life at the moment (doh!)

Pesky thesis sent for printing and binding (£50 - argh) - oh well - I'll try and bind the soft copies here by slealth or ask how much

Today prep work on class tomorrow
Bag full of elderberries to deal with (thank you for the link MrsM - lovely site)
    Tidy up a bit
    Banks to check
    CC to check
Bit Mr F time at some point today
    Bit paid work (gardening)
Bit library books to read (changed them yesterday) this month 'Precycling' (learning ot make stuff rather than buy it), Jamie be a better cook, The real good life (practical goodlifing)

    Banks first..................
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Having lived that evening backwards and forwards in fast forward and slow forward - I appear to imagine putting it in the bottom drawer in the office (a safe place) - I hate safe places. Just called in no one there - doh - I'll work from there later and tell myself off when I find it safe and sound

    *I hope*

Banks OK ish (got £100 to find for rent before the end of the month - think WTFC be in again by then)
CC both under limits - one looking quite good captain is at 1645 (ok thats not good but better than near the 2100 limit :T)
The other is about £850 - but both tiddlers have paid into that to be able to buy stuff from amazon;) - I've learnt ot ask for money up front.

Had shower, Hokey cokey on - need do something for the elderberries before then end up as a slobbery heap I *should* have done something about

*I'm learning its harder to put stuff off than actually do it*

Got in touch with council yesterday for Ds EMA - he's just got it in in time to get it backdated to the start of term, jammy boy

Also got the change of status form - now that submitted (well on way to printers to be submitted) I'm no longer a student I don't think. Therefore council tax beckons. I've estimated by income to be <£10k this tax year so I should be OK (last few years its been <£5k)

    *hope everyones good today*

Morning Pippi, glad you like the site I do too. LT. You are right that it is very frustrating. Only you know how best to work towards your dream and you are right the flat will sell when the time is right. I think that mustn't have been your real dream home because that is waiting for you. Maty great news on Rodders eyes. Is that one of the "flaws" in schnauzers? With Danes it tends to wobblers.

Pippi, have you tried the safe place under the bed where you found the other stuff? If not in the drawer try there. Or do the St Anthony and the pin thing like my Mum.

Just about to go into a 3 hour teleconference. Deep Joy................. catch you all later.

  • Hope you find the hd Pippi. I had this when I came back from holiday. I hide everything. Jewellery dd's bf's car keys (i did remember where they were) I spent a week fretting about the book I keep important details etc in. I looked everywhere as I had put it somewhere really "safe" trouble was took me a week to remember where that particular "safe" place was.

    I am on with revision.
I have apples and pears to do something useful with, but if I am honest probably not today.
and I am taking rainbows and guides pond dipping later (weather is looking Gurrd!!:D)
Car at garage sounding a bit poorly :(

Well I maybe procrastinating on here, but I need to get on
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly
