DD was soooo excited this morning about doing pinch punch to me, she's been counting down the days to it!! Funny girl.....

Guess what, my op is postponed until gawd knows when as I don't fit the criteria for that particular clinic (they have no facilities to cope with any possible out of the ordinary experiences during surgery), so I will soon go back on the list for the main hospital *sigh* and in the meantime am dieting, as that was the main reason for turning me down, that and the general dodginess of my leg being a bit too complicated for them *sigh* So my signature is amended, gulp.

But in good news, DD and I had cuddles and so much silliness when we woke up, real belly laughs, bet the neighbours were wondering what on earth we were up to!! Well done on the bingo win, and lol to the gin as well :)

Today, we're either going to see a friend, but that might be cancelled if she's feeling poorly, or tackling a bit more of the garden if we stay home......

Oh and I got through last month's pay and only went £140 into this month's pay, a slight improvement on previous months!! Eeek. As my op was scheduled, I went out and stocked up the fridge and freezer, so hopefully have enough goodies in the house to keep us going for the month or months!!
  • Well thats about right isn't it?

Out of breath here - metaphorically anyway - call from Mr F from ferry - um is this your bag in my car complete with purse?

*dash to ferry* grab bag from very cheerful ferry folk who reckon its funny to drag folk out of bed when others have gone on ferries *dash back hom*

Well I'm up now - better get on with something. No real plan for today - its misty autumny but calm. House requires a tidy and garden is calling need to do an 'end of month view' for a blog list I like, its quite handy to see when things start/finish, some nice comments about my favourite tree too which I did write yesterday after going to visit it on the moorland :) - have to do a food survey adn plan the meals ahead.

The september store cupboard eat challenge was grand, need to do more of that.

A rumage through the fridge required. Polytunnel cover needs ordered once the cash clears to my cc :)

    Kettles on...........................

  • KK glad you have had belly laughs! I got told to vacate my dd's room once she'd said bye to Mr F - I hope you're OK with the op rescheduled - well done for not going too much into the next pay.

Yay to cupboards full - another store cupboard challenge this month?? Its really helped my food spending.

    :)

Keiss well done you - he's not really healed well yet, his nasty cold hurt his arm lots too - they reckong 3-5 months for a dislocated shoulder - eek.

Hope the ds is feeling brighter with that score - glad you've got a craft room sorted out - that will be ace :)

sfrd - hope the car gets fixed and you get time in the garden, studying or otherwise :)

Yes, I'm definitely up for a storecupboard challenge, I'm going to have maximum £100 for food/drink, wonder if I can be really strict with myself and put going out for meals in that category? If we do go away today, we're going to be out for dinner in a restau, so could be a good challenge :)

If we don't go away, I think I'm going to do some batch cooking, (veggie) shepherd's pie as I have a ton of spuds, courgettes, peppers and tomatoes to use before they go off. Nomnomnom

Going to add it to my sig......I spent 80p on some YS WW cake yesterday, which I "needed" whilst out buying a microwave. Bring it on!!

Not watching the rugby, am listening to Frank Skinner/Archbishop of Canterbury interview, very interesting and funny. OH is feeling rubbish at his house after a tiring, abortive trip to his consultant yesterday, so he's watching rugger and sending me daft emails. Happy days :)
  • We've a gig to go to in November and so we need a bit money put aside for the travel - wonder if we can try and reduce ours a bit - OH generally does most of the eating out treats for us, and I do the house grub.

Yay to nice emails. Bah to feeling bleurgh.

Oct holidays looming here (last two weeks of the month) [I've just been pinched punched by ds] - we've a vague notion to just stay home and maybe do one weekend away. Not sure yet.

OUCH to dislocated shoulder  Hope things improve for him soon, is he able to drive then?? Must be painful when he does, and not a short trip either :o.

DS2 damaged his a-c joint (in shoulder) a few years ago, and he still feels it sometimes. He's feeling much better today, even before the rugby match!! He hasn't had painkillers since yesterday morning...so improving so much already!! :j

Craft room still not fully sorted, but getting there...too hot yesterday to get much done (28.5 degrees!!).

Chocolate & Beetroot recipe here saving. DH loves the courgette muffins I made...luckily we have LOADS of courgettes :rotfl:
Sorry, no link to for them, could post the recipe if you want.

    Right...ironing...and a Scotland win...hopefully!!! :)
