Two days to go. Two days to go.
:)We should be skipping and singing this. You will be escaping. Please take the blueprints for the chocolate factory with you. We NEED them.;)
Dont worry about the noise equipment as soon as it starts up record it yourself and then play it to the HA. Then call the dept for the equipment.
Hope Mr T is ok. Hotstuff in new coat.
I am working till after 8 tonight. Catch up with you then.
Be happy. hugs, sw.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
"eey aay adio, two days to go"
(Couldn't resist, soz)
Satchmo xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Poor MrT I have visions of him now strutting up the street with matching lead. collar and coat - wearing a scarf (I know that dogs wearing scarves is not an unusual occurrence in Holland). Talking of Holland, I have a photograph of a pooch dressed in his own leather flying jacket, helmet and goggles sitting in the sidecar of his owner's bike (again the picture was taken at a motorbike rally in Holland).
Had to laugh at Wordsmith - fancy saying that SA should stay where she is. I wonder what kind of leaving present she will get - I would hope it is a lot more than a box of chocolates:D
Satchmo - well done with the meeting, I can see the PA being off longer than 2 weeks especially if she has stress, she needs to stay off longer. I hates office bullies.0 -
Me too. There is no need for it. People should be nice shouldnt they but it doesn't always work out that way. I hugged my office bully today. She looked at me as if i had crept up out of the toilet. I am not THAT ugly. Nice to get one over on her. Kill'em with kindness. TEE HEE.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

It is my last day :j
It is my last day :j:j
It is my last day :j:j:j
There was a slight scare yesterday when MD threatened to put the brakes on my transfer because no replacement has been found. There is absolutely no way I am staying any longer...... it has been 6 weeks since my interview and 3 months since I was first asked to apply for the vacancy. Enough is enough..... I'm offski.....
I have made it quite clear that I do not want a leaving present. I am not one for false gestures and am not going to change now.
Let me just put make one thing quite clear here -- there is not one hint of "metrosexual" about MrT's new attire. It is, in fact, trimmed with camoflage to match his "camo" lead and collar and completes his "tough boy, macho" image. So there! The coat comes complete with a zipper pocket and luminous "go faster" strips at the sides. It is the dogs whatsits...... just got to convince him of that.
My painterman has finally got in touch. He has been poorly with a virus but is on the mend. I can go ahead and buy the paint and he will be able to do the room in a couple of weeks. I am chuffed for lots of reasons....
a) he is cheap
b) he is fast
c) he is trustworthy and can be left while I go to work
d) he likes MrT and the feeling is mutual - very important
Fatties are still quiet.... long may it last. If nothing else it has made me realise how quiet and pleasant it can be and that it is not a particular problem with soundproofing or lack of it. I have always got the option of asking the HA to put soundproofing in but at the moment it seems OK.
New glasses should be ready today. They are going to ring me when they arrive and I shall pop down and get them. Another excuse to get out of the office for a whileI popped into my future office yesterday and my desk is all set up and ready to go.... complete with training folder.... can't wait..... yet another chapter in the twisty, turny life of SA. Definitely an upturn, this one... and in an office 5 minutes from my flat. Brilliant.
Anyone else watch The Killing finale last night? I was actually a bit disappointed but still enjoyed the series. Apparently Series 2 is on the way.
Not too much on the agenda for the weekend. Mainly getting ready for Monday. Off to DP's with my 25% discount voucher in search of a few bits. A spot of hair colouring on Sunday and that is about it. What a social whirl my life is....
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs

By the time you read this your last day will be OVER! Congratulations! I can feel your relief. And yes, if they had tried making you stay, I would have walked too. What a nerve! Be nice to grumpy pants when you leave - that will throw her. I just LOVE SW's hugging her office bully - Kit, you are brilliant. I used to live near a woman who wouldn't give me the time of day, so every time I passed her I gave her a big smile and a "Hello". If other people did that it would be because they were trying to turn the situation round by being nice - I'm afraid I did it because it was so very satisfying seeing her annoyance and listening to her grunt in reply.
I am intrigued as to what MrT is going to keep in his zipped pocket. Bonios to treat the laydees? His own plastic bag for cleaning up behind him? Money for a phone call in case he gets lost? His own mobile phone, maybe? Shades?
Is your painter single?
Your desk already set up? How lovely and welcoming.
And if they do give you a box of chocolates as a leaving present, please accept gracefully and I will PM you my address."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Wordsmith i have just got up and am LAUGHING already after reading your post. Both of you with the analysis of Mr T's jacket. That was just what i needed.
Hooray it is nearly over.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Mr T sounds adorable.
Things are certainly on the up. Hooray for good days.
.. SA if you get two boxes of chocolates may i have the 2nd one.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

:rotfl: SW you are marvellous :kisses3: :T
I'm going to suggest that to my friend at work who has just escaped her bully - just because her reaction will be very rude and funny! If I am feeling extra evil I will find a way of mentioning the idea in the bully's hearing just to get them worried

Did someone mention chocolate?
I could just kill a bar of Fry's Turkish Delight or even a Cadbury Bar of Turkish Delight chocolate (I know that Frys and Cadbury are one and the same).
You've escaped SA..hurrah:j0
