Hi guys,
CALM DOWN - IT'S ONLY A FORUM!!!!
I am fine, please don't worry about me. Time just seems to have slipped away this week. I have been walking MrT in the evenings and just don't seem to get back on to the computer afterwards.
I am in a bit of a limbo at the moment. The manager of the office that I want to join is back on Monday after a 3 wk holiday and things will hopefully move forward a bit. I worked there on Wednesday morning and her deputy was making lots of positive noises. Fingers crossed. Having been refused the right to apply for the first vacancy and the closing date gone by for the second job, I am feeling that my options are diminishing. My current manager was OK this week but I really don't think I can go through another review with her - she is so patronising.
I have applied for an Admin job in town and the closing date is today. I am not overly confident as it is for our local vets and they will have been inundated with applications.
HB is chasing me for an update on my probation and how much my pay is now? I haven't replied as yet as I would rather tell them to close my claim as I am starting full time - I have got until 20th to reply so I can wait a bit.
Sky have ended up taking nearly £80 for this months paymentAt first it was £0, then £133, then £14.62 and now they have actually taken £79 - a big chunk out of my paltry wages. At least it covers my phone, broadband and TV for 5 weeks. I would be lost without it. I did think about switching to Freeview but I do like to watch Sport so for now I will stick to Sky.
There was a bit of a ding-dong at the HA meeting this week. There is a little group of tenant reps (3) who are on just about every forum, panel and group going and have started making unilateral decisions by themselves rather than taking it to a vote and it is making some people very uneasy. What started as a gentle enquiry by one of the members ended up in a real spatand I am not sure what is going to happen now. There were a lot of ruffled feathers and stony faces - I do believe that it is better to wait and have a vote will all the members rather than an instant decision from a small
number of reps.
I wrote to the local Housing boss last Friday regarding the Fatty family issues. That should have landed on his desk on Monday morning, but I still haven't received any form of acknowledgment.
I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, he may be on holiday, and will give it another few days. If he doesn't reply then I will go back to my HA and insist that they take up the case.
On Tuesday morning I was woken up at 2.30am by music (the third time in a week) from their bedroom and then she started her washing machine at 5.45am. I went berserk, shouted and slammed the kitchen door. The machine was turned off straight away!
Quite a few people seem to be worried about her behaviour with the local kids and I think that will be resulting in a visit from the local bobbies before too long, if what I hear is right. I have stayed out of it but I know that there are concerns.
Visiting friend is back home and I managed to not see her during her stay. I know now that is was for the best. I would have bought something for the Ex and sent it back with her, I just know it. She understood when I told her, but I think she was a bit peeved that I didn't provide her with a two day freebie.
Although I can't really afford it I am going horse riding tomorrow. A couple of hours up on the Moors is just what I need. I wont be able to go again this month but perhaps if I get another job I can celebrate with a full day ride in August?
Off now to feed the ducks. I have got an online shop being delivered later this morning. I have tried to get a whole months supplies in one shop - let's see how that goes. I popped into Sainsburys this morning for my favourite muesli, and they had reduced boxes of 10 instant lattes to 98p! They are obviously discontinuing the line and so I bought a couple of boxes. They also had Twinings tea on offer and so I bought a big box of that as well, my favourite.
I will be back later with any updates - have a good day everyone.
Hugs

Thanks for the update. I'm sorry if [STRIKE]we were [/STRIKE]I was hassling. I just do like to hear about what's happening in your life. Mainly because it's interesting and you deal with things very well, but also because I am a nosy cow and I don't have many friends.
I feel for you re the job situation, but feel it in my ancient bones that it will be sorted soon and you will get a job you enjoy.
Well done on the door slamming. Gosh - I never thought I'd say that to anyone. When I moved into my first flat with my first boyfriend, there was an elderly lady living downstairs who used to own the whole house. We came back from the pub one night just after closing - not drunk, not rowdy, just came home. She didn't like it that we had been out so late (um, just after 11 and we were both under 20 years old) and she went around her flat slamming doors and then the next door neighbour came round and she got all upset saying that we had been slamming doors and keeping her awake, and so the neighbour got straight on to the phone and complained to the landlord. That has nothing to do with you slamming doors, of course, it just reminded me.
Goodness to the housing reps. Isn't it amazing how people just can't work together on something - even simple things? I despair at the world sometimes (and sometimes the world despairs at me).
I am very pleased Mrs F's behaviour is getting noticed. I just hope she doesn't blame you for a visit from the police.
And very good on going horse riding - it's so important to do something that you know will destress you in times of uncertainty.
Good luck on the job application. If they don't employ you, it's their loss. I'm sure you'd be brilliant at a vet's practice - dealing with owners. I don't think I could cope with it. And a staff discount for MrT?
Good to hear from you."Green pastures are before me,

I know, it's just I have a bit of a vivid imagination and I keep thinking what if there were real people writing all these posts, and if they disappeared did it mean they were in trouble?
Good luck with the job application, HA, neighbours and all, and well done for avoiding temptation in the form of visiting friend and giving in to it terms of a ride on the moors. Both good choices.Miggy

Thank goodness you are still alive:D
Sorry to hear that the Fatties are still being annoying. Getting little sleep is no fun and I have every sympathy with you. Twits in the next block have taken to watching tv in their bedroom although why they have to have it so loud is beyond me.
Fingers crossed on the job front too.
I shall give some fair warning that I won't be around on Monday and maybe not Tuesday as well because I am off to London:j (done on the relative cheap).
Oh I did a silver course today and made a silver pendant for my chum - I am feeling rather pleased with myself because I cannot really see to do close work anymore so produce this pendant is a huge achievement:D0
