Morning, SA. Did you get a better night's sleep? I am positively evil the day after a broken sleep (as opposed to just being a grumpy cow after a good night's sleep), so I feel for you. Good news, though, re the HA stuff and the supermarket. Have you made up with MrT yet, or is he still sitting in the middle of the kitchen with his jaws clamped round the bone? My tart is barely talking to me since favoured friend, her most favourite person in the world (I come way down the list), is here and taking her on adventures.

I know it's only a forum, and I know you're not real ... but it's been five days since we last heard from you ... and you do have odd neighbours ... so - don't shout at me - I just wanted to check in and ask if all is well. Or maybe you've found a toy-boy and are too tired to get on your computer? In which case, I will be most jealous, but still concerned for your health and stamina.

    Hi there,

Apologies for neglecting my diary and thanks for worrying, Wordsmith.

I am fine, things are fine, here are some updates....

Following my new friend getting involved with my neighbour issue - things have shot forward. Council Boss Man has been in touch with neighbours and has got an agreement from them! No appliances in use before 9am, not late night use of TV etc in the bedroom, at least without headphones and an undertaking to be more considerate with their noise levels.
    And then....
Yesterday I had a visit from a Community Support Officer (Copper) and they are going to be keeping an eye on the kids situation. Good - the Summer holidays start next week and there have been about 20 of them outside over the last couple of nights. I have got his card and I have got to ring if anything gets out of hand.
    So... double whammy.

Work has been fine to be honest. I actually had a good chat with my manager this week and made it clear that I want to move. As I thought, she has asked me to deputise for her while she is away in August but she has scheduled a meeting with prospective new manager, HR lady, and herself this week to work out timescales for me to transfer :D It is looking like the beginning of September even if I have to do 1 or 2 days a week in my current office while she trains up a new person. I will be full time from 1st August it seems. I am working in the "other" office this week so it will be a nice change of scenery and a chance to see if we all fit together. I am sure it will be fine. Great stuff!

MrT is in fine fettle, barking at the postman as I type. He has a dew claw that has grown in a complete circle and I am trying to summon up the courage to clip it myself. It isn't bothering him but it is bothering me so I wont let it grow any more without doing something about it.

A very rainy day today - we managed a short walk before it started and, amazingly, MrT has just volunteered to come and feed the ducks with me. I think he thought twice about it once we had set off but it was too late by then and he had to see it through. He is laying in his bed now, damp and smelly! I hate wet dog smell.
The car is in for its MOT on Monday. I have told the garage to just put it through the test to start with. The rest of the work it needs can wait until I know what is happening work wise and then I can budget it all in. No rush, it is only routine stuff.

So that is it - no more to report. I hope everyone is well and enjoying our Summer ;) wellingtons and sou'westers this weekend.

    Hugs

No more to report! But that's loads - and all good news! Would have been nice to hear about a toy-boy though. But glad to hear you and MrT are both well.

A whole collection of good news...:T:T:T:j:j:j:beer:
Yay to everything except the dew claw, poor Mr T. Having had to clip hamster teeth and black rabbit claws, I have lots of sympathy and the only good advice I can think of is find a level-headed friend to hold Mr T for you. :)

Good to hear from you & pleased that the noisy neighbours now have some guidelines on how to be more considerate.

Good luck with doggy manicure :)

    Good luck with MrT

As for Fatties, I hope they behave but fear that they are paying lipservice to the man from the council and will be quiet for a short time until they feel the need to start using the tumbledryer again and having the tv on loud.

I won't be hijacking your diary now as I have my own - Horace's Biting the Bullet:eek:

Have a great day, sorry there is no toy boy in the offing just yet and good luck with work.

    Very quick pop in.....

Spent the weekend watching golf and walking MrT. Boring!

Pouring with rain and I have got to get the car to the mechanic for its MOT and walk back to the first day in my prospective new office! I am going to look great, soaking wet and bedraggled!

I have also got the HA meal in a place 47 miles away.. that is going to be great fun on the motorway if this rain keeps up. I do have to go though.

Horace has started her own diary and I do hope things turn around for her. Good Luck matey.. ;)

No Toyboy by the way folks.

The Fatty family have been relatively quiet over the weekend. Another neighbour has voiced his concerns over the kids outside so the opposition seems to gathering. I know that something is going to happen, it is a watch this space at the moment.

Off now to try and persuade MrT to get his feet wet. He can't cross his legs forever!

    Hugs
