Just been catching up with your diary over the last few days and wanted to say hello.
I have "neighbour issues" as well so you have my sympathy. Although having complained they are mostly quiet and ignoring us again. Noise isn't the only issue but that's another boring story.

Will drop in from time to time if thats OK with you :)

The latin write up is my own creation - I actually created it as a motto for a student magazine for the Psychology Dept of Bham Uni:rotfl:

I have got to get my computer sorted! I have spent 15 minutes typing a post and my computer froze (again) and lost it all :(

So here is the potted version:-

Apologies for leaving your diary off my list, Horace. Off course you should have figured on there. I hope you had a good weekend, haven't had the time to catch up on other diaries.

Hi to Miggy, Rosa and dojo and a warm welcome to Hovel lady (not sure about the name ;)) and MrT says Hi to Hovel dog.

Wordsmith - you are priceless, that's all I have to say....

sw - keep on getting better and stick around :)

I spent the day yesterday doing a "Deep Clean" for a friend. he has been pestering me for ages and I finally rolled my sleeves up and spent 8 hrs yesterday. My knees, my back, my head, my everything .... aching like you wouldn't believe, despite Extra Strength Ibuprofen and a hot muscle soak bath.
It looks fantastic though and I hope he reflects the time, effort and result in his payment. If not, I will have to make the point very strongly!

Back to workl in the normal office today, but at least the end is hopefully in sight. The new job is due to be circulated this week and my application will be in before you can say "It should be mine" ... fingers crossed.

MrT is good. I still haven't tackled the canine pedicure. If I am going away in October then he will have to have his kennel cough booster so perhaps I can get both done at the same time ;) Let the vet handle the little monster. He is fearless, unlike me....

Not hanging around for too long - I wasn't prepared to type two posts and time has slipped away. Try and speak later, if not Hasta Manana.

    Hugs

Tuesday morning - you name it, I have got it!

I thought, last night, that I wasn't feeling particularly tired but went to bed anyway. BIG mistake - insomnia, headache and indigestion meant that I think I have managed about 15 mins sleep before getting up at 4.50am. :( I have left MrT snoring under the duvet.

I think the headache may be from all the cleaning stuff I had to use on Sunday for the Deep Clean. I have done a COSHH course but forgot all the rules and swished and swilled with a load of heavy duty stuff.I think I have cooked my brain! Hey-Ho.

Friend is very pleased with the result and texted me yesterday expressing his gratitude. As long as that translates into Pounds, Shillings and Pence, all will be well. :D

Work was fine (Hooray) Current manager and I got through the day, problem free. Considering I had been out of the office for 10 days (through working in the other office last week) I thought it best to run through the time scales again. All OK, and it has been confirmed that IF I get the transfer I can move in early September. :j I can't wait for the job vacancy to be posted. I just want to apply....... itchy typing fingers at the ready.

I bought some sausages on Sunday and had sausage and mash last night for my tea. Tasted lovely, but the repercussions :( I eat so little fried food - my poor stomach is rebelling with major indigestion. A long walk with MrT this morning, before work, should help.

I still haven't been paid for last months mystery shops - getting angry now, every month is the same. It isn't well paid, you would expect them to at least stick to the deadlines in the T's and C's.
I have got one to do at the end of this week and another next week. They had better pay this lot on time, I don't usually do this many.

Surveys are clocking up again, slowly. Just 1 or 2 a day are all I want. One of the good things about the new job/office is that "lovely manager" let's the staff look at t'internet in quiet spells - I can so my surveys at work as soon as they are released. Double earning capacity!

Fatty family remain chastised and quiet. Barring a blip on Saturday night (TV on in bedroom) things are much, much better. I am trying to ignore the kids gathering outside - I am letting the neighbours protest about that. A peaceful existence is at last mine, after nearly 2 years. Wonderful.

I have decided to cancel my horse riding this weekend and start saving/earning in earnest for a week away. I am planning on celebrating my birthday in sunnier climes.....

I have put my armour on - here we go....

YES, I am going back to "over there"
YES, I will see my Ex
YES, I am strong enough and I can handle it
NO, I am not starting anything up again
NO, I am not paying for/ lending/ subsidising anything
YES, I do know what I am doing

Life is too short - this weekends events have reinforced that in my brain. Who knows what is around the corner? We have to live each day to the full.
As long as I don't leave myself open to getting hurt, Whyever not? I LOVE it there, it is a "hit the ground running" break and will be a lovely reward for a hard and difficult year. That is the plan anyway. I have broken down all the things I need to get/book/enable and have set it as a goal for late October.

So there it is, honest as usual - I could have kept quiet about it, but I haven't. You can tell me off ( I am expecting you to start finger wagging, Wordsmith) but I promise I will be OK. I am a different person now, I really am. A lot of thanks is due to MSE (again) this forum has provided me with friends (albeit virtual) stability and a chance to discuss, vent and share. Thankyou to everyone, I appreciate it, I really do.

Enough of the serious stuff. Off to get dressed, rouse MrT from his slumbers and venture into the rain - so much for a sunny, warm day - perhaps that is coming later.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hugs
