Helloooooo.
Oooooh well done on the MS money coming in and the walk. You are making all sorts of connections with the cleaning which is very useful. Glad Mr T is making friends. How is the tv situation? have you considered looking for a second hand one on ebay? My tv is my best friend i wouldn't be able to cope without mine.
My students suggested icelolly.com to me a few years ago for holidays as they used to get good deals. I keep seeing lovely holidays on there but I am saving (for builders and furniture) so I can't go at the moment.
I have just arrived after a visit to the market - Apricots are £1 for a pound in weight - yay - am going to do another trip now to get some food from the supermarkets too. If i walk really hard I will treat myself to an ice cream!!!! yum.:D:D:D:j
It is pretty grotty here. Where's the sunshine? I am on hols and I want sun. Boooohoooooo!!!!!!!! Is Michael Fish married? If i was married to a weatherman i would make it sunny everyday. How grown up do i sound????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a good day. Yay.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Morning everyone, wherever you are!
The forum is pretty quiet this weekend - you must all either be away or have got oodles to do. I woke up early this morning so ventured out for a newspaper and have settled down with a mug of tea... bliss
Yesterday was quite productive - surveys, cleaning, enrolling for a BBC language course to brush up my Spanish (it slips away so quickly) and then watching the show jumping from Hickstead. That takes me right back to when I lived in Brighton with my grandparents. They used to take me to watch it every year - great memories.
And now Sky have taken over coverage and added lots of new bits and bobs (background stuff) and it is breathing new life into the sport. I think they will do the same with Formula 1 and the Grand Prix coverage from 2012. If they can also stop Sebastien Vettell winning every race, that will be great.
A list of things to do today - wash car, shower MrT and flea treatment (neither of which will go down well) prepare sandwich fillings for the week ahead and cook and plate up a couple of dinners ready for warming when I get in. Sorted!
Another revelation - I bought a 2 year package of Security for my computer (anti virus etc etc) which ran out this week. So.... I cleared it off my machine and installed a freebie. Voila! It is all running about 10 times faster and boots up in 2 mins rather than 20People had said to me that it wasn't worth buying a package as there are so many brilliant ones for free and they were right. You live and learn, don't you?
Surveys are coming along nicely - one or two a day and it soon mounts up. One MS done this week, one next week and then one the week after. I am getting into a bit of a routine now and it doesn't seem too much of a grind.
Off to read the paper, drink more tea and plan the day.
Bye

I'm around! You sound like you're having a good, relaxing weekend. Well, apart from showering MrT, which sounds like it might not be relaxing at all. Have an enjoyable day."Green pastures are before me,

Hi Wordsmith!
The morning is panning out nicely, the chores are getting done. I am wondering whether to shower MrT as the weather is nowhere near as warm as the forecast predicted. Hmmm.. I will wait and see if it warms up a tad.
Coming out of MrS this morning there was a guy being caught for shoplifting!!! He had what looked like an electonic/computer/digital type thing and was surrounded by employees and security. Made me nervous and I hadn't even done anything! He was middle aged - what an idiot.
Oh well, off to wash the car.....

It has warmed up nicely down south. Wonder if Mr T is getting his shower. I am doing chores too. I am resting before i sort out weeds in my front garden. One day when the building is complete I will have the lawn relaid. Oh to a garden without weeds.
I ironed outside and a cricket, a bee, some drones all landed on the ironing table. Even dear old foxes were watching the barmy woman (me) but ironing is done now.:D
I do feel sorry for shoplifters they will probably lose their jobs. Plus if i did it my dad would kill me.:eek::eek: And he is nice. They really are flushing their lives away. No matter how bad life is at least we are not banged up having to make friends with Big Bertha et al.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I was around this morning, I tinkered with computer for a while, went and got milk and a paper (I only got the paper because I wanted to see the wedding pics from yesterday). I then settled down to watch the racing (curse Sky as I do not have Sky but love F1), it was wierd because I was watching the racing and having to tweet a friend in scotland who was photographing some 80's gig (he was their official photographer). I was praying that Vettel would spin off.
After the racing I watched more telly - Universal channel for Rescue Special Ops which is an Australian police series, I love the Australian shows because the actors don't swear unlike the actors here where swearing seems to be the norm.
As also exchanging tweets with Professor Brian Cox because he was talking about spelling and how he spelled something and it was pointed out to him that he spelt something and didnt spelled it..it was an interesting chat:rotfl:.
Am supposed to be doing some work for tomorrow but feel like having the day off again today:D0 -
Briefly here to say Hello and Goodbye!
just been uploading some results of an emergency Mystery Shop for which I have been paid a vastly improved sum for going out and doing it today (the last day of the month).
MrT wasn't too pleased at me going out but I was in the bad books anyway as he also had his shower today. He was quite disgusted with the way his Sunday worked out - sulking now in his bed.
Off to watch a bit of (very small) TV - work tomorrow

Have a good week, SA. It's a bank holiday here tomorrow. I will be working, but I think I may work from home. I think it might be peaceful, but then again the cats are there, so I may have to decamp to the office. I have to put in a long day, but one thing is for sure, I am not setting the alarm. I have just two more small jobs today at the shop, then I am off home for a glass of wine and an hour of book (I hope - but Finn managed to get out of the bathroom window for the first time yesterday, so I might have to do a spot of hunt the countryside for the kitten before I can relax).
I hope you don't have to wait too long for a response to your job application. You will of course get an interview, and you will of course knock 'em dead."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"

Thanks Guys.....
I couldn't sleep last night, gave up and got up at 4.45am. I think it is a combination of anticipation of the interview (hopefully this week), the thought of actually getting a break this year and indigestion as a result of the mystery shop! Says a lot about the "product" doesn't it? As I said before, me and fried food are not a match made in heaven....
Totally thrilled with the speed of my computer now. Booting up in a couple of minutes and much less prone to freezing. The anti virus programme updates in a matter of seconds as well, unlike its predecessor which took yonks and really slowed stuff down. Hooray, Hooray.... for all manner of things.
MrT has forgiven me enough to join me last night - he snuggled under the duvet and will remain there, no doubt, until I start jangling a collar and lead later on.
I have prepared my candidate blurb for the upcoming HA elections. I have been nominated for the position of Chair on the Tenants Representative Board and the elections are this month with the new post holder taking over in October. I am quite chuffed to be approached, let alone if I am voted in. I do enjoy the work though and am always fighting to get everyones views and opinions heard, not just the most vociferous (of which we have a couple) know what I mean?
Got three decent coupons from MrS on Saturday. One for extra points if I spend £5 on frozen food (easy) 10% off if I spend £30 (easy) and 50p off if I spend £2.50 on fruit and veg (easy) I shall be using all 3 of those. It makes a change from points if I buy an insurance policy or change my energy supplier - perhaps the penny has dropped on how to encourage people to return? They are actually increasing their range of Basics as well - most of my entire shop is from the economy range - I can't tell the difference, to be honest. Probably the only brand name I stick to is MrT's food, and that is for safety reasons - his and mine, if you get my drift (and his if I am not careful!)
Off to catch up on a couple of diaries. Have a god day. Bank Holiday in Ireland - Why? Does 1st August have any significance? It reminds me of the Dom Rep - they have a Bank Holiday (or Fiesta as they call it) just about every month. OTT, or what?
Hugs
