Not long LT, I'm just worried my auntie will want to eat out most of the time as that's what she's used to. She has a very comfortable lifestyle (she got there with a LOT of hard work) but I think she forgets that the rest of us don't live like that!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I put up an ad for my hampers and I've had a VERY strange request. I'm sure the person was serious they wanted to knw if I could make a bad christmas hamper! Not quite what you imagine but more goth meets nightmare before christmas but they did give me a chuckle with some of the 'unmentionable' items they asked to be put in it! (think the darker side of Ann Summers).
Now I went back to the craft-y type stuff to make a little (and keep me sane!), I expected nappy cakes and birthday hampers not that! But hey ho, it all helps I suppose.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. lol reminds me of a personalised christmas card my sister was once asked to make.
Yay to there only being 5 more payments left on egg, that's fab.
i hope you can get your Aunt to be reasonable, she's not expecting you to visit with her 24/7 is she? i'm assuming you'll be able to go out for days and then you can just make yourself a picnic or go somewhere reasonable without her.0 -
:eek::eek:The mind well and truely boggles about 'that' goth type cake!
Ref the aunty well you could always brass neck it and say you can't afford it, if she keeps on suggesting eating out. Or else play a mystery ailment so that you can have take away one night or something?
Am a bit worried about you being away from the house for a week. Please make sure any jewelry, papers etc that are important are locked away somewhere away from SS prying eyes. Especially anything to do with cards or ways of spending.....
Sorry if this puts a downer on the holiday, but I don't want you to come back to an even bigger mess.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

oh heck Uni, sorry to hear all that. I hope it doesn't look so bad in the morning.0

Thanks LT, Lucielle, yes it was that bad. My Auntie 'conveniently' forgot her purse all the time (we had treated her to a thank you meal at the restaurant she said was her favourite our first night.... total cost £60), we were taken to a VERY expensive restaurant with her a couple of her friends and we ended up with the bill, coffees and teas we got the bill, and herded OH and I like a couple of kids and took the huff if we said we wanted to go off and do our own thing. She had a go at OH and I ended up in the middle of it. There was nasty comments about other family members (my Gran) and how she wasn't my problem (excuse me? really? she's just lost my Grandpa) and constant digs about my weight and loads of fat jokes. Had backlash from OH and ended up wasting half a day crying. He's only finally shut up about it now.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
