hi we get movies but i'm never sure what's involved with the cinema tickets so have never had the courage - how lame is that.0
-
Its not lame LT, all you do is go on to the home page then rewards and login, see what's playing and request tickets. That's it. Normally Scotland only gets one or 2 showings but there's a lot more down south.
OH moaning about the ironing this morning (not what I need before work). He got a call about work as well at 6am! and they wanted him to start at 6:30 and it was 40 mins away and we were still in bed! Will sort out some of the recycleables tonight. Went swimming last night (20 lengths) and washed my hair after but left the conditioner in till this morning so thats one thing off my list!
Having a nightmare trying to dry the washing, how is everyone else managing this?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hya Unix, sorry, can't help you there, as we have glorious sunshine today and about to get DS2 to hang a third load of washing out!
When we do have lots of washing to be dried on wet days, we do use our tumbler, though not before having it hung on the airer in the conservatory for a day or so, or near radiator if the heating is on.. This year will be interesting, as the tumbler is in my shed...100 feet from the house and with no power!! We moved it there when we decorated the conservatory, not sure if I want it back!! Also had planned to get a back-porch/utility-room built this year...but that didn't materialize, so will have to have a rethink.
If you are hanging things up inside try giving them an extra spin in the machine to get rid of more water...does make them creased, but they will dry quicker.
Hope you can get everything dried soon, xxx

hi Uni, glad you got your swim, i keep meaning to go swimming as it's about the only exercise designed for whales.
at the moment we're still able to dry washing outside but i'm sure that will change before long. We've put a retractable line up in our hallway so that we can hang things up in winter and they won't be in the way like on an airer, not sure why i didn't think of it before last winter as it works really well. Actually i did think about it but then came up with loads of potential problems so never did anything but then Mr LT looked on the subject with fresh eyes and hey presto!
Thanks for the info about the cinema tickets, i'll have a look as there's a few movies we'd like to be able to see.0 -
you're not a whale LT. it is good exercise though.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Well it is now raining! Washing is on the airer in the conservatory, slightly damp, but not too bad.
Good idea about a line in the hallway LT, shame we don't have a hall!
Could put a line up in the conservatory I suppose....away from the dining table..could work quite well methinks! Once we get the lean-to/back porch it will be great, plan on having a pulley up in there permanently...one day, I've only been waiting 15 years....:o
I agree with swimming being good exercise...really must get back to it again...after 1/2 term though, as the pool is full of kids atm!

We're quite lucky Keiss that our 'local' (well its 8 miles away) pool has different slots so you can avoid the kids if you want. Even the slots where kids do go its not as bad as our council pool was (it burnt down recently) as at least you can relatively swim a length (only having to detour once or twice). Its also £2.50 (for upto 90 minutes) which is cheaper than any of the council pools.
I got some of the stuff sorted for recycling last night (about 8Kg worth). OH was doing nothing but moan at me last night about the state of the house asking why I never do anything. My reply? I make all the meals then can't be ar**d doing anyhting else as all you do is moan and shout at me. I'm fed up. He made my packed lunch for me for today (I think that was his way of saying sorry), he asked me what I wanted and he's made me something completely different.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. oh heck Uni, i do feel sorry for you, if you need to run away and fancy a long trip we've a blow up bed if you want some peace and quiet (though thinking about it you would share it with two puddy cats (girlies though) and i'm not sure whether their claws would go through it - not tried it before lol).
i would expect your OH to be doing the houseworky stuff if he's not working at the moment, it's only fair0 -

- sort clothes for recycling place and weigh the bags (feel bad about this but this place pays 50p a kilo for old clothes. I have LOADS of stuff and I really want to go to the craft fair so old clothes = money = 2 craft fair tickets, which are about £6 each so 24Kg of old clothes/shoes..... and yes some of SD's stuff will be in there too!)
- 2 gift hampers to do
- [STRIKE]soduku book to pick up (for hamper)[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]order from M&S to pick up (for gift hampers, used Quidco)[/STRIKE]
- 2 birthday cards to make (orders, 1 paid, 1 not)
- 1 gift hamper contents card
- 1 'mock' nappy cake (this on the outside must look like a nappy cake but is for display as I've booked a cabinet in reception of the building I work in to show off my gift hampers.
- must get back to Tarot
- [STRIKE]deep conditioning treatment on my hair (its still like straw from the holiday)[/STRIKE]- [STRIKE] swimming [/STRIKE]
- pay bills and update totals (some have gone up!)
Ok so I have a few things scored off my list. Need to pay the bills today. SS asked me to sort out his car tax (he's given me the money), and amazingly he didn't ask for his change (50p) so thats going in my money tin at home.
