I had a good morning in the shop, but the shop got really busy and I mean really busy. Even with two of us, guess what? ....... someone stole one of the designer tops and we didn't see them! How could someone steal from a charity? The top was marked at £3! Its not a lot but it all makes a difference to the charity. I mean we don't get paid for the work we do! Some people are beyond belief.

I did buy 2 things from the shop today. A top for my Mum (£2) and a butter dish for me (50p). I am so glad to put my feet up though, I am not used to being on my feet all the time. I am starting to lose weight but am nowhere near my Mum's skinny size 10. A lot of the designer stuff the shop gets in are 8's and 10's. I'm a 14 or mostly a 16 at the moment (my interview suit I needed an 18 in my jacket to fasten it over my bust!!!!), I have loads of really nice clothes from my skinny phase (size 12) and none of it fits. :(. I'd love to be that size again but I doubt it will happen.

Got word from a friend that she's expecting, I am happy for her but hoped we'd get the chance. It would be so silly doing that at the moment (with no job). She was saying the hospital she is attending will not tell her and her husband the sex of the baby as there's been quite a few having abortions after finding out they weren't carrying a boy or in a few cases (mostly young girls) a girl! I was horrified when she told me that, that people could do that because their child wasn't the correct gender.

    Hi Uni

Never posted on your diary before, but read it quite a bit :). Couldn't not post after you saying about the hospital not telling people the sex of their babies.

My sister had a baby last year and I went with her for one of her scans. A woman came out after having hers and announced to her waiting family (sounding rather annoyed) that it was 'another f***ing boy'!! My sister and I couldn't believe it. I personally can't have children due to health problems and my sister has lost a baby before (at 18 days old) so we really had to bite our tongues. Some people are unbelievable!!

    Ok, money stuff.

£2 from lottery, I paid this to my cc.

£9.24 from tarot, I paid £1.24 into my savings (towards tax) and the rest will go towards my phone bill.

I also have £5.20 coming from ebay

Thanks Em and welcome to my little 'ol diary:o , the nail polish was a treat and for £4.99 for a bottle it was a bargain as its so easy to do. Yes I agree about the unfairness about having kids, the ones that seem to shell kids like peas never seem to care about them and the ones that either can't or have to wait would make the best parents. I heard one mother this morning in the shop (I'm volunteering at the moment to keep me busy and give something back), tell her little boy (who was singing at the top of his voice and yes it was annoying but there's better ways to handle it), and she told him to "shut the **** up"...... nice eh? My boss and I were horrified.

Morning All, I have my new top on this morning but forgot to tie the ribbons on the short sleeves. I'll fix it later as I can't be bothered taking it off and sorting it out (bad eh? :o).

Bank checked already, my £5 isn't through yet. When it is I'll put that to my cc. My Mum is insisting on giving me the money for her dress, top and 2 DVD's (a total of £10). I feel bad taking it but every little helps at the moment. I would like to be able to treat her but not knowing when I'll get a job is horrible. I know I'm lucky having the tarot work but I can never guarantee how much I'll earn from it. I take my hat off to the ladies (and gentlemen) who do that as their main job, I think I prefer knowing how much exactly I'd be earning each month.

I'm meeting some of the girls I used to work with for lunch today, nothing fancy a small cafe in a local garden centre. Cheapish, cheerful and healthy (although they do nice cakes). After that seeing Mum. So I'm looking forward to it.

Off to get on with my to do list, which includes doing my hair and make up (hair is just shoved up at the moment) and fixing my top :o. Not had breakfast yet and not sure what I fancy, I'm trying not to buy too much and trying to use what I have. I know we have 2 english muffins left (I forgot about them) so might have them toasted with butter or with some beans on them.

Morning All, up early but can't seem to get moving.

My wide leg shorts arrived from ebay (Next), they are more like cropped trousers on me. So I think I'll shorten them to just above the knee, that should look ok shouldn't it? But the thing I really hate is my shorts are a 16 but they measure the same as my M&S size 14 jeans and size 12 skirts from Sainsbugs. Why can't sizes be the same? I really would love to be a standard size 10, my Mum seems to be able to go into any shop pick a 10 and its fits. My problem.....my hips!

Bank balance checked, OH owes me £60 which I'll take out later. I opened a new ISA (just waiting on it being confirmed) and I've asked them to transfer my interest directly to my current account to pay directly to my cc.

On the to do list today:-

    - tarot
    - job apps
    - pack up a parcel to post
    - food shopping (only doing a local shop to get a few bits and pieces, going to Mr T's would mean extra in fuel and I'm trying not to do unnecessary journeys)
    - cut and tie some lavender to put through a friend's door who's having a very hard time atm, hopefully this will help her sleep

Also feeling a little down about my weight, it just doesn't seem to be shifting. Its coming off my arms, face but doesn't seem to be shifting from anywhere else.

oh no! haven't seen the news of late, who was it sold to? and i wonder what difference it will make.

don't worry about your weight it will come off, and it will come off all over eventually. At least its coming off the more visible parts ie your face etc.

when are the interviews you have lined up? good luck for them.

loved the nails by the way.

Have a look at the news LT, its been sold to money supermarket.

The weight can't come off fast enough LT, I cannot understand the shops variation in sizes.

Interview is monday, going to get the train in. Nervous, but fingers crossed. Its only a temporary and I'll need to be self-employed but its work.

    that's a shame, money supermarket :(

i know what you mean about wanting to lose weight really quickly but it didn't attract itself to your body in the matter of months so we are a little daft to think it was drop off as quickly.

fingers crossed about the job, as you say any work is work and it's all money coming it. and fingers crossed it may lead to something else.
