Sorry to hear about the job, Emz is right, the right job for you is out there waiting for you. Keep looking and you'll find it.

Hoping to get more gardening done this weekend, as well as working on the quilt I'm making. Also have to collect DS1 and GF from uni tomorrow evening. They're staying for a week, which is wonderful, but I have had to clear away all my sewing stuff as they want his room back. It's only for a week, then I get the room for most of the summer. It will be good to see them again, not seen them since mid April.

Need to get to bed now, helping out with my quilting group's coffe morning tomorrow, so an early start, especially as I haven't done any baking yet....too shattered tonight.

    Night. Night xxx

Have a good weekend if yoy can xx

It'll be nice for you to have them back Keiss.

OH and I had a row this morning, diddums he's finding it hard me not having a job, what does he think its like for me! I came very close to telling him its over this morning. Just anger I know but everything has to revolve around him. SD is poison (his words) but when he's like this her behaviour is my fault, even though she was behaving that way years before I met him and is still behaving that way even none of us are in her life.

I know the right job is out there but I'm worried as my savings are not going to last forever, OH gave me £45 off this weeks wage and sometimes I feel he just doesn't see or care where I'm coming from.

Supposed to be meeting a friend for coffee but think she's got lost. Haven't ventured to get a parking ticket yet as the rain is really heavy.

My friend did show up, she's looking a lot better (thankfully) and it was really good to see her. I was good, I just had a green tea whilst we chatted.

Went to pick up OH, he'd bought me a pteradactyl money box (I loved them and all dinosaurs as a child, one of my first words was triceratops!) and a smiley sun/tarot bookmark. I'm guessing he knows he was in the wrong this morning. Diet went out the window slightly as we went for afternoon tea (5pm), sandwiches, scone with jam and cream, mini strawberry tart and a mini viennesse whirl and refillable tea and coffee, £14.95 for 2.

Back home and chilling. Tried water marbling my nails but it went horribly wrong. I've posted for some help on what's become my second home, the nail polish addicts thread on the health and beauty board. Hopefully someone there will be able to tell me where I went wrong. In the meantime I have painted my nails with the magnetic again, purple this time but it is a lovely grape colour when it goes on with tiger stripes. Will post photos soon.

sorry your OH has been winding you up again, he really is a child, specially if it all has to revolve around him.

There will be a job which is for you and which you will land in. It's just a shame and frustrating that it's not right this minute, right now.

You are right LT, he is. I just wish the job would come quicker!!!!

I weighed myself, I've lost 3lbs since last week. I don't know where today's gone. Will try and get an early night as pretty tired, I've painted my nails again, will post pic shortly.

Really tired today, picked up a DVD in the shop for my Gran (was volunteering today), got her Miss potter. Lovely film.

DIY friend at it again, OH phoned her OH yesterday (they get on really well) and he said he'd get her to call when she was up....that was yesterday. I've texted, replied to her message on FB (that was 2 weeks ago), called (just got voicemail) and got nothing back yet her OH is acting like nothing is wrong and talking about meeting up. They missed out on free tickets we were offered to see a band. So goodness knows whats going on. I have a sneaking suspicion she's dyed her hair and doesn't want me to know. But I'd rather she just tell me.

Got some good bargains in Mr T's today, got lamb mince (to make HM kebab using recipe from Takeaway Secret) £2.90 for a kilo. The recipe makes enough for 5-6 large portions for equivalent to buying just one from the takeaway.

Are you still doing your diet LT?

I'd dyed my friend's hair (using proper salon dye) as she'd wanted it blonde for a family wedding in April. I'd done a strand test on her first so she could see how it would turn out. As her hair had been red before the lightest I could get it was golden blonde. She was happy to continue, it took 2 go's to get it how she wanted it (lighter on top) and she said she was definitely happy with it. I said to her it would get lighter the next time I did it and I'd bought all the stuff to do it (the creme peroxide I bought would last her a year) so it would work out at 10% of the cost of a hairdresser doing it. I said to her I'd do it again after 4 weeks yet I just couldn't get a hold of her, she re-surfaced for a few days promising to return my call and didn't. I'm off to Blackpool shortly and wanted to do her hair for her (as she did say it needed done) before I go but as I explained above my OH spoke to her OH but she never called back.
