I got one of those Pilates balls from Sainsbugs (£1.99) and been using it every day for a week doing arm exercises (10 reps) and am starting to notice a difference now. Its a 1Kg weight but squishy and easier to hold/use. Must start on stomach exercises now.
With a self-employed job i have a choice of getting a company to do paperwork for me or do it myself. I may for convenience get a company to do it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Just been up to Lidl's to get some bits and pieces. When did they get so expensive??? Its my closest supermarket but at their prices the extra in petrol would be worth it.
The second shock I got was a very well dressed eldery man and his wife being arrested for shop lifting! Just been out with OH to get some plants for our hanging baskets. We found a small nursery on what was the road to the city near us. We'd just been to the supermarket to get some stuff my Mum had asked me to get and their plants looked half dead (apparently they're not allowed to water them in case someone slips!) and were £3 or more for 4 or 6 plants.
We ended up with 12 Marigolds (mixed), 6 Salvias (these are fantastic), 6 Lobelia and 6 Pansies for £12.50! So it definitely pays to keep an eye out for these smaller nurseries as they are definitely better value. They also had an apple tree (which I wanted but need to completely clear the car as would need to transport it with the boot open.... that'll be fun! :rotfl:), which was huge and only £15. The famous named garden centre a bit further up the road charges £45 for the same plant only smaller!
When we got back, I realised I only had one basket liner left from last year. So I used the plastic packaging shorts had been delivered in yesterday (black plastic envelope) and a couple of black plastic bin liners. I pushed these into the baskets and using a sharp knife cut drainage slots. This saved me a trip to the shops (petrol), money to buy new liners and is recycling.
The baskets are now up and look fab, they really give colour to the garden.
I took the top back to Primark that I'd bought, they didn't have the size I needed unfortunately only the next size above that so I got that and I'll get the sewing machine out. OH treated me to some Elizabeth Arden perfume (bargain 9.99). I also bought new eyeliner as I have completely run out (been trying to use up all my old makeup) and I wanted it for my interview on monday.
When OH and I were in town we noticed a sign in Ramsdens window (these and similar gold selling places seem to be springing up all over the place! A sign of the times), saying they had a range of ladies and gents designer watches for sale. My OH wants a very specific high end make (think James Bond!) and I said at some point I would get him one..... probably in about 10 years :rotfl:! Anyway, they had one and they are selling it for a FIFTH of what it would have cost! So, its being sent from the store where it is for him to have a look at. He's actually really excited, bless him. That is an extreme bargain. So if anyone is wanting a really nice present then and make their money go a little further then this might be the way to go.

I posted on the OS board looking for recipes for apple turnovers. I had apples that needed using up. Just puff pastry, egg wash, apples, sugar. These (in supermarket) would cost me 90p each, I made 6 for I'm guessing about £3. So not a bad saving and it felt good not wasting stuff for a change!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It hasn't been too cold down south - bit windy though.
Best of luck with your interview.

We have the heating on, candles burning (my first homemade ones) and fleeces on.
Hoping it at least stays dry tomorrow. Night all.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Interview went well, I am knackered though. A tip, never ever get extra comfort knee highs (too hot to wear tights with my trousers). Now these are supposed to be more comfortable as they have padded soles...... great i thought.....er, no they are zig-zagged across the soles. my feet were red raw by the time I'd walked from where the interview was up to the train station and no it wasn't a long walk, maybe a mile. I can now barely walk as my feet hurt so much.
I went to water my new hanging baskets, and the cool grass was bliss against my feet (sad, I know).

Thanks Chev, love your signature.
Quite tired today, took my Gran to the hospital for a check up (all ok thankfully). OH and I tackled the garden when we got back, OH cut the grass, I tackled the weeds. I seem to beseiged by those sticky things they're everywhere! I also have a plant appeared in my garden I can't identify. When photobucket stops playing up I'll upload pics I took of it (and my nails as I've re-painted them), and see if Pippi can help me identify what it is.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
