JD - I'll check out your diary, thanks for the link!

themull1 - I am lucky and I know it!! To be fair, if the option of staying with them hadn't of been there, I would have just put up with staying in my flat! I think all parents treat their kids like kids as it were, just exacerbated due to staying with them!

  • You are so organised :T! I'm VERY impressed ! will def be watching to see if I can take any tips from you --I on the other hand am super scatter-brained and my diary is all over the place, not focused at all like yours:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for your support DFW - yep I decided I had to get organised because I was already losing track of where I was up to with my challenges! I'm still umming and ahhing about layout though - if I update most days, is there any need to post the lot every day? I can't decide if it is better to have one post with the challenges on and update it, then maybe do a new one each month - my only dislike of this is that they will get swallowed up quickly in the thread as I didn't do it on my first post! Although I could go back and do that, but it feels a bit wrong :rotfl: Glad to hear you're doing better now you've moved out... as I said my parents are great, I just don't want to be living with them! x

Yes I think it's a great idea to have it all on one thread (may steal this idea when I have a few hours spare to do it :rotfl:And as it's on page 1 you shouldn't lose it...for now anyway ;)

AND yep I love my mum dearly! But moving in with child I think it kinda cramped her style of having all the ornaments out again, and cream rugs etc -and I don't blame her lol i can't wait to have my house how i want it and not completely child-proofed ha!

dfw321 - thank you for admiring my ridiculously over organised diary... I'm impressed you didn't run away screaming at the sight of it! I don't blame you for looking forward to having things how you want them in your own house!!... only a few months for me... hopefully! xx

    quick update

I'm really not having a good couple of days. Not sleeping well, subdued, crying all the time about how sh*t everything is. I don't know why I'm writing it down, I just kinda felt like it.

There are times in life when you look at all the bad things and you can take a step back and think 'hey, those big things may be bad, but I have so much else and I'm so lucky compared to so many others.'

And then there are the times when the bad things are all you can think about and even when you think of the good things to buck yourself up a bit, it actually makes you more upset because all can think about is how far away they are and what a failure you and your pathetic little life are.

I would probably say I'm feeling like the latter as of last night but I don't want to be a moaning minnie so I'll leave it there and go off to have another quiet little cry to send me off to sleep.

Goodnight MSE people, I may be blue right now, but I can't tell you what a difference (positive!) that this forum is making to me in terms of attitude. This phase will pass and then i'll happily be organising things again. Until that time, things will be a little grey I'm afraid.

I hope you are feeling better after your nights sleep. After a while of DF-ing it does take its toll a bit and start to get you down, but you will pick yourself up and crack on. Your DFD is not a million miles away so you will see the light at the end of the tunnel very soon x

  • hey moan away, I thought that's what our diaries were for?! (Mine def is lol)

I hope you're feeling a little better today, we all have our blue days, and like Jamiedodger said you'll be able to see the light very soon, you've not got much longer to go, so 'keep on shuffling' (as my DS likes to say!)

And keep posting there's lots of people here to see you through the darker days :)

JD - Thanks, I know it's not miles away, I'm just being a bit pathetic and "woe is me!" I'm really tired as well so I think it's exacerbating any negative feeling!

dfw - Thanks for your encouragement, I was thinking yesterday about how much worse I would feel if I wasn't coming onto this forum, and the answer was a LOT! I can't believe how supportive and nice everyone is, it's just fantastic.

And to both of you, I will be checking out your diaries over the weekend, I'm sorry I haven't up until now, just always in a rush! :o
    ___________________________________________________________

Feeling better today - not great, but better. Had to go to Worcester yesterday for work so did 146 miles I hadn't planned for! However I'll get expenses at some point and it normally works out about 3 times the amount of petrol you actually used. I managed to use about £20 worth, and I worked out the miles in my head and the formula works again! - I'll get about £60 back. However it will have to go straight in my car tax fund which is due end of June :(

Apart from that, I don't really have a lot to update, I am busy at work, and LATE this morning, so shouldn't be on here!!! Better update soon, promise!

    Oh, and I gained 1.5 pounds,which sucks :(

We all have days like that. You concentrate so much on losing weight and gaining money that you throw all your energies into it and then you get on the scales and they point in the wrong direction, you open a bank statement and thats worse than you thought and then something else crops up that you can't say no to and all of a sudden you're back where you started.

However it does get easier and it does all eventually start to come together, its a long hard slow slog but its well worth it in the end.

Its free listing on E-bay this weekend which should help, tedious though it is.

moo2moo - thanks for the heads up about eBay. Unfortunately I don't have anything to sell at the moment - a lot of my stuff is packed up in boxes and so until I move I can't really have a good sort out.
    ___________________________________________________________

Nice quiet day today, although I can't believe it's going so fast! Still have all my batch cooking to do, some OU work, tea to cook and eat, another load of washing, and presents to wrap! I get the feeling I won't be completing all this...

This week I'm batch cooking broccoli soup, from my "easy healthy" recipe book, and also "Baked Thai chicken Rice" which is on the Good Food website... will have to see what that turns out like. I felt really guilty as I only bought barn chicken instead of free range. This is why I eat veggie most of the time, I will NOT knowingly promote cruel farming methods. Barn obviously is way better than Battery, and Willow Farm, which is Tesco Barn, seems to go above the minimum Barn requirements for the chickens, which is at least better than some. I didn't think about it when I was doing my meal plan so the reason I ended up with Barn was because I was basing my shop on my meal plan of course! Ho hum. Poor chickens though - I'll only include chicken in future when I can definitely afford free range, or at least where I can use the thighs and drumsticks that you can buy for £3 which are Tesco Finest Free Range Corn Fed - they're lovely.:(

Anyway, tons to do so this is another quick one - I never have any time - I hate living here, I really do. Moving on...chin up and all that - revised my budgets for August onwards (more money) and I've squeezed a bit more moving saving in there than I already had, so there's a little spark of hope to cling to.

Only a quick update as at work currently. Bad day - been off the cigs for 1 day 17 hours and struggling a bit. No concentration. No will to do said work. Hey ho. Maybe more later.

Another update then. I headed over to the Stop Smoking thread earlier and found some really good help and encouragement there. Feeling much better about things! Currently getting up the nerve to start a Stopped Smoking pot - I'm worried about how short it'll leave me for the month though, I was already on a tight budget and as I never budgeted for cigs anyway, and in this month had assumed I wouldn't need to budget as knew was stopping, it may well leave me short. Hmm. I've put 7 cigs a day in my StopSmoking widget from the NHS and so far I've saved £4.16 apparently! Not bad! Must go cuz I'm cream crackered! Night!
