weighed in this morning at 11 stone 8 so a loss of 4lbs so far this month & 9lb in total since I saw the doc on 21st May and he said I needed to loose some to stop my knees hurting so much. had a little less exercise than normal this week as I skipped my canoeing last night in favour of a comedy club evening and had a cheeky glass of wine there - oops! Mostly Ive been loosing by quitting the alchohol during the week so this was a bit of a slip. Other than knocking the wine into touch, I've just cut the portion sizes, trying not to eat foods with more than 4% fat in them as per Rosemary Conley and if I must snack between meals, keeping it to fruit & veg as much as poss. Aiming to be 11stone 5lb by end of June, 11 stone by 24th July (my big 4-0!) and 10 stone by Christmas. wish me luck!

My unofficial midweek hop on the scales has indicated I am doing well, but Fri and Sat are the danger days...

    Hi all,

A big thanks this week for the messages of sympathy about the loss of my Dad, Thanks guys.

If things weren't bad enough, I've spent quite a bit of time sorting out my Dads office this week and still seem to have got no where. My sister was admitted into hospital on monday for four days. With one thing and another the 2 hr journey took me 4 hours to drive down to see her on wednesday for approx two hours visiting, before driving back again. I then went back again on Thursday to pick her up. Then my husband has been told that his employers are to make 40 staff redundant. Could things get worse?? Sorry for the rant, I shouldn't moan as it never gets you anywhere, but with all this going on I have not been commited to the weight loss again, which now when my weekly weigh-in is due in the morning, I am sure it is going to be a weight gain, not a loss.

I have hit the nutella jar daily this week and with time being an issue have resorted to ready meals again, and not healthy ones. Whilst I started off with good intentions last week, I am dissapointed at the reality. It did cross my mind to quit the challenge, but have decided to stick with it. Whilst I am realistic about my situation at the moment and that I probably won't win the prize for greatest weight loss, I really appriciate this space to hear about all of your own challenges and how you deal with them. I know everyone has their own issues, so big congratulations to you all for your weight losses. Just hope I am reporting my own weight loss soon!

I've put on a 1lb so far this week :-( but joined WW online tonight and going to track my food and hope that helps me x
  • wayhey! I lost 4.5lbs this week :j - but of course that is the 3lbs I put on last week & an additional 1.5lb but heck I'm not complaining :D have stuck to the pp plan like glue this week & jogged my first 5k continually :) hasn't felt like a diet tbh, but then I am on call this week so have been eating more & no alcohol. I might make weekdays alcohol free. Hope you've all had a happy & good week x

I started off on WE online & found it excellent, I did quit after a few months when they introduced propoints as I couldn't get my head round them. It certainly gave me a good springboard for success.

Weigh in tomorrow & dinner party tonight. Eek!

Managed to lose the 1lb I put on this week so I've stayed at 10st 8lb for the week as started with this thread a week ago today. I'm going to really stick to ww (started 2 days ago) and hopefully see a big difference this time next week :-) hope everyone is doing well and if you're not there's always next week :-) x

I've put on a pound this week, which isn't really a surprise - I felt rough this week, missed zumba and comfort ate! But somehow I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't get into before so need to keep myself on track

Back to 12st 13 - so I'm on a net loss/gain of 0. Not what I'd hoped for, I blame my mothers dinner party last night
