  • I've just used ASDA for phone trade in and it was great.
They pffered me best price for my broken phone (with cracked but resopnsive touchscreen) - but I was worried when they saw the nature of the damage they'd reduce the offer.
No problem though - had email when they receieved it, email 2 days later sayingthey were sending the full amount, and nearly £40 in my bank this am. very happy. totally hassle free :)

If you reject their offer do they return the phone free?
  • It says that these do not add to the value so can I just keep the charger?

Just to see if this is just a story or the truth.

    Thanks for all the reviews!
  • To be honest I didn't think anyone would be interested in my daughter's broken Blackberry! Asda sent me a cheque within days of receiving the phone. They also emailed me once it had arrived. Whole process took about 8 days. :T
  • I've previously used Mazuma a few years a go with no problems whatsoever with them. However, they are no longer competitive, so I thought I'd try Asda given the good price and generally good feedback on here. I was not disappointed.

I received my pack within 3 days of the initial enquiry and phoned up on one occasion to ask a general query and the person I spoke to was very polite and friendly. Then from me sending 3 phones off to them by special delivery they sent me an email at each stage to keep me informed and told me that I would be receiving the full amount for each and that a cheque would be in the post.

From sending off he phones to receiving the cheque back from them it took just 6 days (including over a weekend).

I'm very impressed and shall definitely be using them again once my next contract handset expires in the next few weeks.

    Well done Asda!

Yes! I phones up to check this. They were very helpful and said there is no need to send in the charger although you can if you want. I didn't and still received full amount that they originally offered.

I was a little wary but encouraged by the fact it's on Martin Lewis' site and by the positive reviews. I took the plunge with my old Nokia 5800 Expressmusic which I was just about to put on ebay. This seemed far less hassle for a fixed sum (£31). They responded very promptly to my request, sending a Freepost envelope to send the phone in.
I posted it on 03/01/13 by RD (as recommended by them). I did not have to send any accessories (charger, headphones, sim, memory card etc). They acknowledged receipt by email on 07/01/13 and confirmed the offer price of £31 by email on 09/01/13 and the money was in my account on the 11/01/13.
Can't fault this service. Well done Asda tech.
My wife has just upgraded her phone so guess where her old Blackberry Bold 9780 is going? It's a no brainer really. Highly recommended.:j

Sent in three phones within the last couple of months - all not in the best cosmetic condition with scratches and scuffed edges - but was paid the full amount for each, and money received within seven days of sending. Would recommend.

  • Sent them an old Nokia 5230 which had intermittent battery issues. Was offered the full amount but didn't expect to get it, however even with the recent snow delaying mail I received the full amount in my bank 1 week after sending the envelope off - hooray!

I was updated by text and email at all stages of the process. I faffed a bit between receiving the pre-paid envelope and actually sending it, and was politely reminded that they'd not received the item yet - even the tone of the email was awesome:
We wanted to make sure you haven’t forgotten about your trade and therefore thought we would send you a reminder.

Make sure you send your devices to us as soon as possible!

    Have a lovely day!

Ah bless em :) - would definitely recommend and am just about to use them again to send a slightly better quality 5230 (ie: my wife actually takes care of things).

    Cheers all
  • Further update to my experience with Asda Tech. I recently sent off my wife's Blackberry Bold 9780 and got £75.58 for it direct to my bank account within 8 days. Another top service from Asda tech, well done guys.
