I'm still in the process of using Asda Trade In & I'm finding them to be very slow. I'm into the 3rd week waiting for final payment.
Their email address doesn't work either so had to call them (who were very pleasant on the phone).
Dealt with Fonebank in the past & have found them to be much quicker ( quote & payment within 10days).0 -
Very impressed.
15 days from initial on-line trade-in to receiving cheque. Cant complain at all and highest payer for my old phones. Would recommend.0 -
Sent a nokia 5800 a few weeks ago and received the cash in the bank two days after them receiveing it.
Sent another nokia 5800 last week and just received my other payment. Very good service. Will use them again.
Posted both recorded delivery just to be sure they made it.0 -
Can I ask a question about the Asda service, do you simply put the phone in the supplied jiffy bag and send it back with the address label supplied, how do they match the phone with you?
Thanks0 -
Dont even get me started on ASDA Tech Trade in, the whole service is useless, and slow, the worst service Ive ever used.0

Traded in 2 phones separately in the last month, on each phone the money was paid in by BACS 5 days after I sent the phone off, the received the phone the next day, took 2 days checking it and paid the money, then 2 days to get to my account - couldn't be happier.
Still haven't had my earlier question answered, about how they know it is your phone. I phoned them and they said, we just know!!! I'm guessing that the replied label they send has an identifying number on it.
If I had another phone worth anything I would be sending it to them.0 -

Yes, the label has your Trade Reference ID included on it.0 -
I used ASDA to recycle a phone (via this website). The whole experience was very efficient and prompt.
After registering my phone for recycling they sent me the envelope to return the phone in. I wrapped the phone well in bubble wrap and sent the phone 2nd class recorded. Postage is free (Freepost envelope), I just pad the recorded bit (which was about 80p).
I got an email at each stage to let me know what was happening, and within a week of sending the phone the agreed money was in my account.
They might not offer the most money, but there was no hassle and no problems.Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!
