Thats lots of days holiday! Excellent!
As for not frittering .... for me, its all or nothing, i.e. I can *never* fritter - maybe for a couple of years. But now that I'm technically debt free, I do fritter a little - never as much as £3:D:D its more likely 60p for a Snickers bar ... the pot idea sounds brilliant, I wish I had the strength to do that.
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You've got the strength not to fritter KC, I bet there's a lot of folk jealous of that!
So - had an hour of slobbing around time, and it's time to get active for the evening! I've been parcelled upstairs from the living room because serious band-related activities are starting in the kitchen so I'm best off out of the way. What I'd like to get done this evening is....
8.15-8.45
* change sheets on our bed
* put washing away
8.45-9.15
* check bank and do transfering for holiday money :T :T
* make sure car insurance stuff has gone through :eek: (should have been automatic as it was just a renewal)
* put out of office on for work email :rotfl:
9.15-10
* diesel in car
* get mr daffs' extra pressie
10-10.30
* wrap pressies
* NOT wibble about whether what I've got is good enough :rotfl: :rotfl:
10.30-11
* make baby blanket for friend's baby :T :T (i won't finish it, but I'll carry on til Mr Daffs' mate goes home)
So, busy busy! best crack on! :T :T0 -
Right, I'm racing through my list this evening! :T :T

Time to pop out for a bit now, hopefully won't be *that* long, but you never know! :rotfl:0 -
shame about the festival but when one door closes another opens as they say.
DDFW I used to do the pot thing to stop me frittering money. I had a specific goal in mind so each time I thought about buying a magazine my brain would stop me by telling me that it was X per cent towards seeing Whales in the wild. So that worked for me. Maybe a folding bike pot would work for you or a mini?
Have a great holibob (quite envious indeed).Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Ok.... trying not to think about how much money I just spent in 20 minutes :eek: :eek:
(mostly on diesel so I'll only pay half of it, but still!) Fuel gauge light was flashing and I filled entire tank up...

So.... if I can wrap all Mr Daffs' pressies and not wibble in the next 4 mins I'll be on schedule(and, let's face it, 4 mins doesn't leave a lot of time for wibbling really! :rotfl: :rotfl:)

So.... back to the drawing board. Couple of different options - bit more sorting out at home time, whizz up to scottie land and spend an extra day or two with friend near inverness perhaps? Visit someone else on way up?? Not sure yet, Mr Daffs was too glum to chat about it properly, pah!
Come early if you like, beds made.....................!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there. :beer:
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Thanks Pippi, you're great :j :j :j :j
Will chat about it properly tomorrow - Mr Daffs is engaged in musical ramblings in the kitchen with some bloke, and I'm hiding upstairs trying not to drink part of his birthday present :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: so I think a discussion is out for tonight
Have worked out how much the holiday travel is going to cost us (I think - and I also think I should have done that before now! :rotfl: :rotfl:) Was about what I'd hazarded an educated guess atHave filled up the car.
Also remembered I stupidly got some books out of the library the other day, which are obviously now due back in the middle of our holidays :rotfl: must sort out tomorrow!
Also need to ring council about collecting green bags, and ring hospital about sending me this questionnaire that I'm meant to have filled in but haven't had yet.
Also have parcels to post...
Bleurgh, too many things going round in head even though they're all on 'to do before holidays' list! bleurgh.
One thing at a time though.
Wrap Mr Daffs' presents.
Then I'll report back and then we'll take it from there0 -
Wishing you a very Happy Holibob
