You are doing brilliantly Cheery and  to Ironman stuff. Brave, brave (or mad) lady

Mad I say. Especially since she's done it before, we all cried watching the live feed video of her crossing the finish after just over 16 hours :) Cut off this year IS 16 hours, so she'll have to get a shift on - after 10pm and it doesn't count, eek!

    Bleurgh to jumpers :D

Oooo, I hope that she makes it. Are you watching?

I wasn't, but with only 22 mins left to the cut off, I'm now trying to!  However, the tracker thing has stopped updating (it says she's still got 8k left to go!) - oooh, tv link thing just started working again :j :j :j :j

    !!!! the bike tyres :D:D

Well, she made it - 15 mins before the cut off :D Sadly the tracker thing broke, and despite the tv thing being 10 minutes behind real life, they turned it off at dead on 10, so we didn't see her cross the finish line :( Still, we know that she DID cross (as did most of the people she was out there with!) So hooray! :j :j :j

And I fixed all my bike tyres, so also hooray! :j :j :j :j (thought I wasn't going to there for a minute when I'd fixed the second one, bent down to screw the wheel back on and heard sssssssssssssssss  No idea whether it was a second (third) puncture very close to the other one, or whether I'd just missed the hole the first time cos it was dark :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Still, all done now :D

I didn't get round to my parcels and presents (oops!) but a full and satisfyingly tiring day nevertheless :j :j :j (and I didn't spend anything (other than £11.60 in Wickes, which comes out of palace fund anyway so doesn't count :D) so a success!)

    :D

Working from home tomorrow - don't let me get distracted, there's lots to do! Sleep well.... xx

Yep - both still alive :D

Gilligan - you may have missed months and months and months ago when I started working full time, the first thing I did was put some money towards turning the house into a palace :D We already think of it as a palace anyway, but there were some other things that needed doing too. These weren't your average maintenance things (which largely get ignored :rotfl:) - one was plastering the bedroom ceiling (which is very high and a mad shape and the only quote was more than the entire palace fund, so it'll have to wait), and the other was getting the front door opened (after 20 years), having a stable door out onto a little place to sit in the tiny garden. That's the ludicrous project I've been aiming for all year! I love having a Palace Fund :D

Working at home today, best crack on...

    Thanks Squizz :T :T

Not sure I've had the most productive day, but 2 of the 3 things on my 'today' list are done :T and I've done some washing and booked our ferries (finally!!) so I'm feeling slightly better :j :j :j

Off to slimming world in a minute... not hopeful but thinking light thoughts... :rotfl: :rotfl: Can't imagine I will have lost the 3lbs required to get me my half stone sticker, but losing *something* would be good! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Then this evening... need to have nice tea :D pack lunch and sort clothes for work tomorrow, hang washing up. I'm planning on taking newly fixed bike to work after several months of not doing (will save me bus fares at least! :T and exercise will do me good :D) so looking forward to a very quick whizz to the station in the morning, and a nice cycle along the river before and after work :T :T

Must also remember to ring my mother - eek! Keep forgetting... :o
