Another one who is saying give yourself some slack. I have said this to you before and I will say it again, and again, and again. You only get one life and whilst it is admirable to be saving for a future event you need to also be happy today and enjoy what life you currently have. I am beginning to realise this more and more as i have lost several friends and acquaintances (not to mention close friends and family) over the last few years. I can honestly say that only one of them lived her life as if it was the last day every day and she was the happiest person I ever knew. Now I am not saying to blow all of your money just please stop worrying about it.

    Worrying duly stopped :D

And I dashed off in the middle of a post earlier, sorry! :p

You're all absolutely right, of course. Kind of got caught up having some cash after never having any kind of back up, and now feel like I should keep as much of a back up as possible - when actually everything was alright even without one before... Will have a good think :D

Speaking of which, did my 5k run this morning, then been out for favourite cafe for breakfast :D:D:D Just a bit of tidying, then waiting for friend to arrive to amble round the charity shops :D I'm thinking a bit of new cheery clothes buying might be in order - and I shall blame you lot, of course :D :rotfl:

Well, today I've had breakfast out, have spent £11 on charity shop clothes, and have just agreed to go out for a curry and possibly to see Harry Potter for the second time tonight - is that enough frittering/living for you all :D :rotfl: :rotfl:

On a more serious note - just about to tackle the car insurance - should have got round to it before as it's due for renewal on Monday, but fingers crossed!

Renewal quote is £196 (with a £250 excess) for third party.... let's see how much we can get off that..... :j

    Cheers VL :D :j :j

Well, as for the car insurance!!!

So far I've managed quotes of £304, £346, £279, £283 - so I'm giving up and sticking with last year's provider :D Now trying to log in and check details of policy with them (it's all online) just to make sure, but darn thing keeps dropping the connection because it's busy. Well, I'M busy! Pah! Don't they know I've got a curry to get to??! :rotfl: :rotfl: May well just let it renew - if the details were fine last year I assume they haven't changed...

    Glad that job's done! :D

And now I've just spent £15 on a curry  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You lot are a bad influence! :D

(said no to the film though - I have already seen it after all, and I'm currently hobbling round like an 80 year old after doing that run this morning then sitting on my backside for 2 hours eating :rotfl: Note to self - walking home stretches your legs and makes you feel better, no matter how much you don't feel like it! :rotfl:)

    Bath's calling I reckon... :D:D:D
