Great combination if I may say so. I really must get my books out and start treating myself to oils again.
Beginning to recognise that I may well need to reinstate my oils or have a complete meltdown. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Ah, I forgot you know all about these things cheri! I've only got one book (the fragrant pharmacy) and a few oils that I keep topped up pretty regularly (rosemary, for concentration and soothing my aching muscles in the bath, lavender for relaxing, cedarwood cos I love the smell), and a few others that find their way in occasionally when I'm after a treat (at the minute I think I've got orange, nutmeg, and a few other bits). Also have some bizarre ones that I don't like very much but that hang around nevertheless and I occasionally stick in the burner (clary sage, peppermint (which I hate the smell of :rotfl:), lemongrass etc). That's about the extent of my knowledge of it all!
Pah, how come I'm still hanging around on here - get in the bath woman!!0 -
Clary sage is a great one for concentration. If you have study to do or want to have a clear mind for work. Mind, dont drink and have it burning at the same time. My tutor told me that they had a very interesting hallucinagenic study session that way. Enjoy the bath.
Ps I hate the smell of peppermint. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: cheri :rotfl: Must remember that when I'm trying to work from home on Monday
:rotfl: Didn't know that about clary sage (either bit!) :rotfl:

Now that is the kind of bath I enjoy. I dont enjoy the wrinkly bits though.
Just listening to the late night prom Nigel Kennedy playing Bach. Amazing. He brought on his Czech jazz quartet too, simply fantastic. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Humph.
Got up all jolly to level out the garden and lay the pavings.
Added in an extra stone to the wall (I knew I needed to do that)
Started levelling the soil.
Then Mr Daffs came out and said it would be better if I added another layer to the wall....
..... I am breathing deeply, eating tea, taking a trip to Wickes to stock up on mortar, then I will build more f*cking wall, and THEN I will level out and then I will lay sand and then I will LAY THE PAVINGS even if it is MIDNIGHT, damn it!
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Very much in need of a large cake today!0 -
Oh dear..................... men have a way of making you mad at times don't they? Even though they think that they are helping.
Do you think that you need another layer? It is your wall after all and as the artist I think you have final say.
Step away from the cake...... it will only make you feel fed up when you go to SW this week. Why not have something else to cheer you up instead. Mind all that digging, leveling and building would burn off the calories. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Well, we've survived a trip to Wickes (just) without a garden-implement-related incident
Don't think projects like this bring out the best in either of us :rotfl: :rotfl: Sadly he's right about the wall - I just DON'T want to hear it, or do it
Still, got MORE mortar now, and some sand, and I know what we're going to have as the fence (but didn't get it today, need to wait til the door's in place so we can open it and see how much of the living room you can see from the pavement to see how much we'll have to screen, if you see what I mean). Everything alwyas needs doing before everything else sadly!
Kettle's on though, and I don't have any cake so can't have any even if I wanted to :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Lobs a cake up
