It's not a whole blog! It's just one post in a blog about downshifting/being frugal/ mindful/ helping other folk out and generally being nice - and just one post about her thinking about how much time she spends on the internet, and whether it's getting her where she wants to be
I thought it was interesting!

Very interesting indeed. In fact I have been pondering this question over the last few days and I have actively cut down my time (I am on lunch now and as you will see in a second I am here for a specific reason HONESY
)
Anyway, excellent news on the weight loss. I think that if it comes of slowly it is more likely to stay off so no fretting about it taking time as long as its going in the right direction.
Anyway, anyway..... to what I came on here for. I was doing some research this morning for a piece of work and I came across this http://www.womenintune.co.uk/wit-festival.html and immediately thought of you and Squizz. Hello, I've been on a grumpy break. It is part of me being good to myself to be back here amongst people who inspire me, motivate me and keep me connected to what I really want. I am loving the patchwork dream Cheery. I have just reduced my hours in order to claw back some semblance of a life but I am SCARED!!Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

What'cha scared of Ruby?
Nice to see you back, sorry you've been grumpity! What are you going to do with the life you claw back? Don't let it get eaten up with household chores!
Thanks Cheri! :T Looks like fun! Won't be going this year though - that's the weekend i'm off up to see pippi :j :j :j :j :j
(I'm sure she'll give me the opportunity to "discover new skills, find joy, be wild & sing up the Moon" too though :j :j :j)
Right - got up early to go out for a run, and have sat here reading back and messing about! Best get out the door or it'll be time to start work and I won't have been!0 -
That does sound fun Cheri (although I haven't quite worked out why they advise you to bring 'sturdy gloves' :rotfl:)
Hope you had a good run CheeryDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I did indeed have a good run, thanks Squizz! :T :T :T 40 mins running and walking in the sunshine - proper set me up for the day! :T :T
Got home to a phone call asking if they could deliver my door - so it's here now :j :j :j :j (is it strange that I was surprised it came in two parts?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Rang garage - suspect there's something dire wrong with car... Had 2 'old new' tyres fitted on front a few weeks back, thought it was rather noisy when you got over about 50mph, but then it's always noisy and we're driving with windows open cos it's hot. But noticed yesterday that drivers side tyre is quite worn on the outside so now suspecting we've got a bit of a lean on or something (or else we've been mostly driving round in circles :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Anyway  taking it on Friday - hope it's nowt too drastic - we're meant to be going to the Dales at the weekend  (at least we can sort it before going all the way to Pippi's )
Bleurgh to stupid cars. This one's been more trouble than it's worth!
Anyway, work work work.

I'm scared about not having enough money! I have been struggling on budget as it is with costly emergency after costly emergency and no room for manoeuvre and I've just voluntarily opted to reduce my hours! THe job I have been doing has been advertised on a higher payscale and I'm opting to stay on the lower band doing fewer hours! Eep! I'm afraid to say that I will be allocating some of my time budget to chores but also getting business going, taking care of myself a bit better and maybe a bit of self discovery - is that too much to ask for?! I really want to do a diploma in massage next academic year so I'm going to see if I can afford to do that to. Now I just have to decide if I want to do 3 days or 5 mornings or 5 afternoons?Commercial Debt £14587.22 Student Debt £7747.73

Hey Ruby, nice to see you back. People were worrying about you
Good for you for spotting the need to claw life back. I wish I was as brave!
Hey Cheery, the door arrived? How exciting not long before you can get into that garden. It is all coming together like a cunning plan! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
