You are quite right KC, of course! It's just been ingrained for so long... Anyway, it's all done now
Appointment for 12 - and he appears to be asleep again now so I'll just wake him up when it's nearly time to go (and send him off himself, don't think I'm going as far as to take him there
)
needing accountability :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
strange though, isn't it - my own tooth has been painful when I eat for a few weeks now - did I ring up for an appointment?? No - I waited for the ordinary checkup letter to arrive(going next week now though). Much easier to look after someone else I reckon!
Anyway - work work work work work!0 -

Yep, that sounds more like it!0 -
Right, that's IT. I have officially HAD ENOUGH today!
Grrrrrrr.
Blithering computer keeps stopping, documents keep not opening, and I'm fighting an ongoing battle with bone idleness :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I had grand plans to do shred when mr Daffs went to the dentist - but was busy arguing with the printer. Put it off, ate some grapes, but that was an hour ago, printing is finished, but I have decided I am just TOO HUNGRY to do anything other than eat.
Once I've eaten and looked at something non-work related for a while, then I'm going to:
* reply to email
* make some (MORE) double-glazing-type scary phone calls for no longer than 30 minutes (and WOE BETIDE anyone who doesn't do what I want!)
* take myself off to the local cafe to concentrate on my printed off work for a couple of hours
* await to hear from lovely Pippi re visiting adventure :j :j :j
(mind you, sounds like she's having a more frustrating day than me, so I might be better off staying out of the way!)
Deep breaths I think!
(and I realise this is all hormonal and because I should have eaten lunch an hour ago! I blame shred)

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I get *very* discontented if I don't eat. What have you chomped on in the end?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Noodles, butter beans, chick peas, mushrooms, and a little bit of grated cheese.
A nice cup of tea.
red and green grapes, yogurt and honey.
Had a lovely little mooch around attic 24 for some colourful cheeriness, and I'm feeling MUCH better now! :j :j :j
Kettle's back on, and when I've got another cuppa I'll set to with the scary phone calls. Then I'm heading off to sit in the cafe with a nice herbal tea (and my back to the home made cakes :rotfl: :rotfl:)0 -
Oh Cheery, I've been having a day like that! My computer decided it needed to update itself... it took FOUR HOURS!! :mad: And nothing else went well during those FOUR hours... Glad it is going better now though!
Cup of tea time here, and I'll have to put the dreaded tumble drier on as it just KEEPS raining here, then is blazing sunshine for all of two minutes then the downpour starts again. The dark wash I did the other day started getting what looks suspiciously like mould (:eek:) on the lower items while it was waiting to go out because of the mad weather... so they'll have to go through again.
Tea! Tea Tea Tea! Will stop the rant. And help the study (fingers crossed... :rotfl:)“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Oh dear Lotti! Hope you managed to get some studying done - and your washing's dry now! Lovely drying weather today
Ooooh, well so much has happened! :T
Last night I hopped on a train and went on a little adventure to see Pippi and meet Wik :T :T :T Had an UTTERLY gorgeous time, absolutely beautiful, tasty food and cheery company, and a little amble with Pippi and the cheery mutt, all good fun, and nice to see Pippi's young-uns too :j :j :j :j :j :j
Then this morning I got up early and toddled off to the park run - was aiming to beat my last time of 40 mins 1 sec - official results not up yet but my watch said 39 mins 20 secs so that'll do nicelyPlodded most of it with a 60+ year old fella recovering from a triple heart bypass
:rotfl: who was absolutely LOVELY - clapping everyone that lapped us (and we were right at the back, so EVERYONE lapped us :rotfl:) ,and he encouraged me on at the end when I would have stopped
(and let me go first through the finish - very chivalrous!)
Then the WI, of course.
Then a wedding! Very jolly (although did think the registrar's choice of short leopard print dress with printed butterflies was a little, er, distracting... :eek:) Hopped off home for a bit, and I'll head back in an hour or so.
All in all, I'm hving a jolly weekend! :j :j :j :j0 -
