honestly, I go away for 5 minutes and you're all mooning all over my diary! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
brightened up a rainy afternoon anyway
And nope, I'm not dun sailin just yet (not that there was much actual sailing involved on a canal boat in the middle of Stoke, mind you :rotfl:) - fully intend to have another one at some point! :T :T0 -
Just as well you are planning to make yourself some lovely knickers if you're going to be off mooning on boats :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Hi Cheery, haven't read all your diary but just spotted this. Are you actually thinking of making your own knickers?? If so I have some patterns and spare knicker elastic if you want them? Just let me know.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Oooh starnac! Yes I was actually thinking of making my own knickers! :rotfl: (nice ones of course, Souk!
) Do you really have patterns?? I'd love copies if you could manage them! (and knicker elastic! Oh my!) Have you made your own?? How did they turn out???
Oooooh! :j :j :j :j :j
Today just gets more and more exciting! :j :j :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes I have made my own knickers and bras as well. Knickers turned out better than the bras though cos I could never get the underwire to sit right. Let me know what kind of knickers you were thinking of making (by PM if you'd rather not announce it here) and I'll have a dig through my patterns.
Lacy knickers can work out quite expensive though as the lace is expensive but I think I have some up in the attic. DH is going up there this week anyway to look through my material stash for something to recover the dining chairs with so I'll get him to bring that down as well to see what I've got.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

PS I won't mention this to DH as he takes his sailing rather seriouslyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Starnac! Wow, am impressed at you making your own underwear! :j :j :j
TO be honest, I haven't thought about what types at all! :rotfl: :rotfl: I'd rather not ones that come up to my armpitsDifficult to know without knowing what there is!
Am more than happy to pay for pattern copying/postage etc, and post stuff back to you

Blimey, well, that was a l----o

g day! cheery though - and made all the more cheery by you lovely lot :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Got the later train home from work, absolutely packed (York is very touristy right now, and the university was having an open day), and delayed too. Yawn. Rolled home about 8.30, and have done NOTHING since then other than put the hot water on for a bath :rotfl: :rotfl:
Had great plans for running, or shredding  but am hungry, exhausted, and worn outUtterly feeble, but there we are. I have walked for an hour and a half today though, so that must count for something!
So, instead of fussing about the exercise I'm not doing, I'm going to head downstairs and make myself a nice healthy tea instead :j :j :j :j
And then set to with my 'getting things done' weekly review :j :j Did that at work today, and felt SO in control, got quite a few of the samller things I 'never have time for' crossed off :j :j, plus a few bigger and exciting things progressed too :T :T :T
Speaking of which, I got all excited seeing the potential students wandering round at the open dayStrangely, I went to an open day at York YEARS ago, and decided it wasn't pretty enough to go there :rotfl: :rotfl: Here I am raving about the lake and the ducks :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway, my office mate has got a new boyfriend, and I was going on about those gorgeous times at the beginning of a new relationship where everything is new and exiting... and about that fabulous time when you're off to university, sorting out where you'll live, filling in forms, standing in queues to have your picture taken, collecting course outlines, gosh, I absolutely LOVE it! (just me then??!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Seriously< I DO love itI've done it twice now, and that feeling of moving to a new city, everyone and everything strange, but a nice structure to fit within, things to learn, things to write down, libraries to amble round........
Speaking of which, I toddled off to the library at work today, for no reason other than I occasionally fancy a wander round. I like to think it does both me and my working life good to just amble round the library every now and againPIcked up a few things that idly took my fancy, some to do with work, some absolutely not (ethnography of lap dancing, anyone??), but felt all revived and invigorated and ready to get back on with it :T :T
Waffling on today :rotfl: It's cos I'm hungry and I don't want to go to the effort of making tea :rotfl: But I've had a LOVELY day at work (and how often do you get to say that?!). Going to rummage through all my home projects now and see if I can get anything ticked off before the tea's ready and the bath water's hot :T :T :T0 -
Yes, that *is* a long day! And, um, what do you expect to do in the half hour after you get in from a full day at 8.30pm??? Tho admittedly, I would have had a cup of tea by then
:D:D
Long and lovely. Which means *lots* of loveliness
But more tea, please2023: the year I get to buy a car0
