Well, I SO got out of bed on the wrong side today :rotfl: :rotfl: Let's look at the evidence:
* Last night I got changed about 57 times before going out (most unlike me!)
* was angry about all kinds of things before I even got out of bed
* have spent all morning being annoyed that the door hasn't been delivered yet, even though they only said they *might* deliver it today
* got a square of mars bar rice crispie cake from the WI, ate one piece there, just had another, and am contemplating how much I might HAVE to devour the other two bits
Hormonal? Moi??
Never :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Today's task will be to get through the day in one piece without doing irretrievable damage to myself, the house, delivery men, Mr Daffs, property, neighbours, or any relationships I have with anyone
It's going to be a tough one...
Maybe I'll need that cake after all...0 -
Right, I have been on a shopping spree :eek: :eek: :eek: Most unlike me! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I bought -
* a long floaty blue/green top thing that goes nicely over a white dress I have (and I'll wear for next week's wedding)
* a green embroidered vest
* a green/brown/yellow Oasis wrap dress
* a flouncy nightie:rotfl: :rotfl:
Grand total? £16Not too bad at all I reckon!
Off to a party now :j :j :j :j I'd planned to walk, tried to wimp out, but actually I think I will, it'll do me good! Best foot forwards! It'll take me a good hour to get there, and even longer to get back, so I'd best get on with it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
morning cheery, was just making a cup of tea and thought of you so I thought I would post as I haven't for ages. I hope you ended up enjoying the party, I definitely have days when I wake up grumpy, poor OH is right in the firing line if that happens. I can't believe you got a pay rise, how lovely!!!
I'm still wondering about the ferrets by the way......
I've worked out my budget and it is now really strict what with paying for my degree and maternity leave etc, so I hve gone through your old diary and am reading it all again, as you were also on a super tight budget then werent you and I'm taking your advice on how to live on £15 a week for unneccessary spends, lots of lovely advice
The new summer clothes sound wonderful, I don't know how you find all these bargains, my charity shops are all rubbish!0 -
Thanks Missy!
As for charity shops - we've got 10 within walking distance, and I go to them frequently, so always ready to spot a bargainYesterday tried on a load of things I wouldn't normally have bothered with - most were horrid, but a couple were actually quite nice! :T
Yes, thanks, I had a lOVELY time at the party, and walked there and back in the sunshine too, so plenty of exerciseLovely to see everyone, absolutely gorgeous garden, was fabulous! :j :j :j :j
Good grief :eek: reading through my old diary?? :eek: :eek: :eek: :rotfl: Let me know if you find any nuggets of wisdom - although I imagine it was all PhD moaning
As for the pay rise, wasn't anything I did to deserve it, just an automatic yearly increment, apparently lots of people get them and I've just never been in a proper job long enough to have one before :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Right, off to 2 year old nephew's birthday party :eek: :j :j :j :j0 -
Sounds like once you started doing stuff you had a great time! Very cheery indeed. And I hope Mr Daffs is on the mend, poor lamb.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

enjoy cheery, I am off to OH's cousins sons 1st birthday this afternoon, which should hopefully be fun!0

Sorry Cheery I got your parties mixed up, thought that yesterday was the nephews party. Hopefully the weather is as nice there as here and the kids will enjoy it. I do like children really despite my quip last night on MGs thread. They are usually good fun to watch when they are not your own!
EnjoySome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Morning! Sounds like a great shopping trip
Glad you got more cheery after the grumpy start to the weekend (wonder if there was grumpy in the air as I was in a horrible mood on Saturday!
)
Missy.. the ferret, well... no I can't... :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: squizz :rotfl: :rotfl:
Party was lovely - cheri you're quite right - children are ace when you can give them backWe had a lovely lovely day :j :j :j :j
Somehow it took me 5 hours to get home though :eek: Took a slight wrong turn and realised I was heading in the direction of the beach (subconsicous at work there) so had a little walk along there, although the tide was so far out t was basically a giant sand pit.
Then was SO exhausted (After a day of doing nothing) I stopped at service station, and fell asleep in the back of the car for over an hour... :rotfl: Good job there's a bed in thereEventually got going again (at 8pm, having travelled about 30 miles since 5pm :rotfl:), only to realise they were closing the snake pass at 7, and I'd missed the cut off (after setting off early so I could make it!) Cue an enormous diversion round half of the peak district (very pretty in the setting sun, but did rather feel like I was going round in circles) - and eventually got home at nerly 10.30.... <yawn>
Didn't sleep very well, and not long got up - good job I'm working at home today!0 -
Oh, and my sister's 2 new goldfish have now been named 'Blossom Soft and Fruity' (after the bottle of wine on the counter :rotfl:), and 'Pay As You Go Jim' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
(named by my mother - in return for her hamster being named 'Merry-Go-Round-Horse by my nephew... :rotfl: :rotfl:)0
