Now you know what I really love about Austria - the cake and coffee (all chocolate varieties are wonderful). BTW, some of this rubbed off Hungary - who said that the Austro-Hungarian Empire was all bad (and please forgive my flippantry; if there are any Hungarian people reading this is supposed to be funny; for any Czech people - I have read Sveik and really like it).

The first proper coffee I ever had was in Vienna, when I was there with the Drama Society from poly ... I'd never tasted anything so exotic .... Austria is a *lovely* place ...

Right, that's it, looks like a trip to Austria is on the cards
(actually, I did go to Vienna once, and didn't have any coffee at all! very remiss. Did get there on the Orient Express though)
OK, so I've popped out, got food, had lunch, and had PhD printed and spiral bound, so now I can tick something off I've been putting off for AGES and move on to the next stage of actually writing something useful about the darn thing.
But not right now - right now I'm back to work, and best get up in the attic. Another round of scary phone calls coming up - not quite so many today, just ringing all the ones who didn't answer the phone yesterday!

Ooh, and I got three back issues of Country Living magazine for 20p in the charity shop
So an idle flick through with a cuppa later is in order I reckon! :T :T

I love getting bargain priced magazines that I could never justify buying at full price! oooh, lovely day here, been to WI, round charity shops, and now eating lunch
Going to potter back off to other shops in a bit for some summery clothes hunting, chase my front door to see if they're delivering it today or not, get nephew's birthday present, and then head off to a little party this afternoon :T :T
Poor old mr daffs full of cold and all headachey, so thought I'd do the second lot of shopping without him, although he's usually more enthusiastic about these things than me! :rotfl:0
