Cheers Squizz! Never thought of the forum
I agree - it does have its good points (although sometimes well hidden! :rotfl:)
So, I've lost the morning so far to tea and talking to Mr DaffsActually, that's not *lost*, is it?! That's good! Means I'll be working til 6, but that's actually fine - I did that yesterday, and still felt like I had loads of time in the evening (although I did stay up til gone 12, so maybe that's why! :rotfl:)
Absolutely gorgeous day today, I've got the skylight open and can see right over the cityToday is going to be a Good Day! :T :T :T
Realised the other day I've got 20 days of annual leave left to take before the end of September - that's 4 weeks to take in 4 months! We don't have a 2 week holiday or anything planned (except maybe at Christmas - which will come from next year's allowance anyway), so I'm going to try and use it up here and there .
On that note - I'm going to take next Friday offI've booked a haircut, one of Mr Daffs' bands is singing in the cathedral (utterly gorgeous), and I'm going to pop down there, and not rush to get back :T :T Might also phone a friend and squeeze in some tooting, and put the finishing touches to the garden (is that wishful thinking?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Anyway, best get something useful done in the meantime!0 -
Why not book the Monday following as well Daffs and turn it into a proper long weekend? Remember also when booking time off in odd days that you need to get the balance right between "office days" and "work from home days" otherwise the balance could end up against you in terms of travelling costs being saved.;)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Good suggestion EH! :T And do you know, I *always* take 'at home' days rather than 'office' days as holidays...
Been to docs, he's checked blood pressure (it's fine) but said heart rate is rather low, and given me a different dose of tablets adn told me to play around to find a dose that works for me :T So hopefully I'll be a bit less tired and slow soon, hooray! :T0 -
I have used ratedpeople.co.uk or com for a gardener and plumber and both were very reasonable, you put what your job is and then you get several quotes and you pick which person you want and then give them feedback at the end.0

I've used ratedpeople too - found an excellent electrician through them earlier this year. I seem to recall there is cashback somewhere for signing up to them as well?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
