    Hope you are currently lying on sofa...if in doubt put Pride & Prejudice (or similar) on!

    You deserve to lie on the sofa all night with your lovely cheery patchwork quilt and just relax. If you are working at home tomorrow have a lie in and take it easy through the day.
    I will regularly remind you to be kind to yourself as much as is needed.

    Nearly VL, nearly! :rotfl:

    Yep, I'm working at home tomorrow, Friday and Monday cherisong, and I intend to take full advantage of it! Thanks for the reminders in advance :D

    Just been doing some financial jiggery pokery :D Summary as follows....

    * Total savings for the year up to £2594.40 = 31.83% of total! :j :j :j :j
    * Patchwork fund up to £647 :D :j :j :j
    * £443 in emergency fund :)

    I wanted to get up to 35% of the total this month - which involves around another £258 I believe :p Highly unlikely I'll get that far - unless the university rights off those fees it keeps not asking me for which are, strangely enough, £258..... :rotfl: :rotfl:

    June is having to have 5 weeks in it - even though technically, according to my normal system it should only have 4 :o But it seems I went slightly bonkers towards the end of last month :o SO need to reign that in a bit (getting taxis home from work isn't going to help! :eek:) Oh! Just remembered I've put aside £50 to pay for graduation robe hire (£50!! :eek:) so that accounts for some of it - didn't go as mad as I thought :D

    Anyway - no getting money out of the cash machine in the week! Absolutely none! And I'm going to check diary for the week's social events and put that money aside in advance :D

    Only managed to put £304 into patchwork fund this month rather than the planned £400 :o Again, partly due to going a bit overboard (on nothing in particular) at the end of last month. Just not being careful and watching what I'm doing :o So that's the aim for this week! I've got a new weekly plan which has me doing financial things on Monday/Wednesday (whichever I'm working at home), so I'll transfer money between accounts on that day.

    Getting there! Feels like I'm starting to get a bit behind me too, which I've never had before, and which is a very nice feeling indeed! :j :j

    Oh dear, all in all, not a hugely successful month! :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl: However, in my defence, I've spent most of this month feeling pretty rotten, and only just managing normal life, let alone anything else, and I haven't actually gone *backwards*,... :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Anyway, looking to the future, June's list coming up...

    Patchwork life section is a new one - all about gaining skills/doing things that will hopefully help me live a patchwork life in the future :T :T So I'd like to publish something from my PhD - increases chances of finding work after my contract runs out, and widens field I can look in :T And I've always wanted to learn sign language - it actually would have come in handy a few times in this job already!

    So, there we have it :j :j

    And now I'm curling up on the sofa with a hot chocolate :D

    Hi Cheery - i will get round to posting that article to you this week :o OH bought stamps today so that helps :D

    I was reading a post of yours on another thread and you described your thyroid problem the same way i do - as i have days where i feel i could just collapse because i have no energy and 'its like walking through treacle'. I'd obviously rather you were 100% well but in a way its nice to know someone understands as i generally have people helpfully pointing out how unfit i am when i struggle to walk somewhere! - Obviously this is when i am having a low energy day :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: :cool: My thyroid though is underactive - still trying to get tablets right on this :o

    You are right to be kind to yourself hon - ((hugs))
