I very much suspect it was Squizz! :T :T I'd left by then though :D intended to go back, but, well, er, I didn't... :D Are you joining then??? :D

Definitely going to have a look at the LETS website - not really sure what skills I can offer though :o The renewable energy thing is really interesting, they're looking for investment starting at really sensible levels of a couple of hundred pounds - seriously thinking about that.

Well done on Slimming World (just typed 'Swimming World' :rotfl:).. did you go swimming? :D

Ooh, squizz, let me know what you find out, we were next to their stall but didn't get chance to talk before I left!

Yep, I did go swimming :D Proper enjoyed it too :D

Dedicated, back later to answer thyroid question, but short answer is NO, I take it nice and easy! (although sometimes I force myself to walk home from the station or something, and then feel rotten :o)

Sorry, didn't make it back in yesterday with one thing and another!

Dedicated, having come back I'm not sure I can give much more of an answer to your question! Initially I was forcing myself to exercise, but felt utterly rotten, and then just fell asleep and was no help to anyone :o I wouldn't recommend forcing it!

But then, if I remember rightly, is your thyroid underactive? Mine is overactive, and stuck to floor days caused by beta blockers, so I kind of knew it was artificial and wouldn't last long. If yours is underactive, have they got your medicine right? You shouldn't be feeling like that regularly! (and maybe safe to recognise that most people feel like that *sometimes* so also look at how tired you are, how much sleep you've had, what you've been eating as well...)

Sorry, being a bit incoherent today, need some lunch! Day is whirring past, lots to do (some exciting things happening at work, some not so exciting :rotfl:), and poor old Mr Daffs is sick, so I'll be on nurse duties tonight.

    Hi Cheery

Thank you so much for the advice :) Yes my thyroid is underactive - i don't think my medicine is right but last time i went to the docs they explained it can only be altered gradually so take tablets for 6weeks then back for blood tests then back for results then see if tablets need altering then start the cycle all over again.- so yes I've been feeling like this for over 12weeks and it is on far too regular a basis for my liking :( This time i'm going to make a point of stressing to the doctor that its all very well saying lets see how you go on over the next 6weeks but not whilst all i'm able to do is drag myself to work and home again as everything else in my life is suffering :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Will let you know how i get on :)

Hope Mr Daffs is feeling better too x

Thanks folks, he's all better now, just a day of feeling bleurgh :)

Dedicated, how absolutely rotten for you! Surely they can get it sorted quicker than that - I know they have to wait and see, but still! Fingers crossed for you getting it sorted out soon xx

Feeling all unsatisfied and ready to do something about it today :T In need of a day off - which is good, because I'm taking tomorrow off for no good reason at all :D

Whenever I think of anything non-work-related today I'm going to write it down, and at the end of the day I'm going to spend a couple of hours with some coloured pens having a good think about what I want in my life, and what I don't, and where I can fit things, and what things I need to do to make life a bit more me-shaped in the future :T Working full time is ok for now - but it's not right forever :o I'm grateful for the opportunity, and for the chance to save, but I'm NOT happy about the amount of time I'm NOT spending on other things - so I'm certainly not going to give up my job right now, but I AM going to find ways of doing other thigns too (I do do other things too, of course, but want to make sure they're the right things!)

    :D

Rambling now :D Back later xx

    Had lunch, still rambling...

Got a big long list of things written down that I want to think about this evening, but first thing on the list is WATER THE GARDEN and get the herbs in pots that I bough *weeks* ago planted out! Pippi, you'd be ashamed, I am SUCH a bad gardener :o Utterly rubbish at house plants too :o

Still, head down and I'm going to focus on work for the next few hours, then stop and do garden things, then spend an hour or so pondering, then I might give up staring at my navel and go dancing instead :D

Bleurgh, just finished work (don't feel sorry for me I didn't start til 11.30!). Been SOOOOOOO grumpy today, so grumpy! Wonder whether I need to get my dose of tablets back up a little again?! No idea - doc did say to experiment until I felt better, and I don't, I now feel worse! Pah.

Still, I've finished work (and a tortuous day it was too - although I did get everything on the list done, FINALLY!), and I'm off tomorrow so it's officially now THE WEEKEND :j :j :j :j So much looking forward to day off tomorrow! :T :T :T :T

So, the plan for tonight (I've got the house to myself for a few hours)

    * put some pasta on to boil :T
    * quick whizz round the house, put some washing on
    * EAT
    * pop out into the garden and plant poor abandoned plants :o
    * some exercise (was going to be a run, but might end up being pilates video given that I'm in need of calming down! Not sure, haven't left the house today and maybe need fresh air...)
    * start garden planning folder :T
    * mind map my new 18 month plan - doesn't exist yet, but been writing down things I've been thinking of idly all day that I'd like more of in life :T My contract is up in 18 months, and while I'd love to stay in my job, I'm not sure I want to stay full time. Since I'm busy contriving myself a new project at the minute, my aim is to contrive myself a part time post :D And then fill the other part of the week up with other cheery things :T :T Some of them require a bit more skill than I have though, hence the plan... :D

Right - pasta first or else I'll collapse in even more of a complete fit of grumpiness :rotfl: :rotfl:

So, I've eaten pasta (stupidly put kidney beans in it - kidney beans are ok, but NOT GOOD ENOUGH in a comforty pasta dish, pah!). Quickly whizzed round the house (not very thoroughly :rotfl:) and wrote a cheery blog post :D

Then went outside, planted a tray of sugar snap peas I got for £1 from the florist the other day (for 8 plants! :T), plus my herbs that I bought the other week (hyssop and bergamot, which looks like I might have already killed it...), pulled out the sunflower I DEFINATELY already killed (oops!), and gave everything a good watering. Redcurrants are looking great! :T :T And my blueberries are growing too - and I picked a strawberry! A whole one! :T :T

Had a bit of a garden revelation... You see, my garden isn't very big. I'm not very good at growing seeds. I leave it too late to plant them, then when they're growing I forget to water them, then I don't plant them out until it's well too late, then I forget to water them, don't protect them from pests, and generally implement an all-round regime of neglect, until most of them die and I'm left with nothing but rhubarb. Last year the only annual veg I managed to actually EAT was yellow courgettes. And ONE pod of broad beans - ONE.

I"m not convinced I was cut out to be a veg gardener :D

What I can do though is herbs - mostly because they pretty much do themselves :D I've got a decent sized rosemary, a sage, my st john's wort is looking gorgeous, as is the lemon balm, and the mint is inevitably taking over everything. I've got strawberries covering half the garden, a lovely redcurrant bush, and a new blueberry bush too :T

And having just planted a hyssop and a bergamot, neither of which are going to be tiny (unless I've killed them, of course :rotfl:), I'm now wondering where on earth I'm going to put the squash plant I've managed to keep alive, and all the little tiny beetroot (that look like they might not make it past the end of next week anyway... :o)

Soooo, perhaps I just need to admit that now is not the time or the place?! And plant the garden full of lovely herbs, and stop this endless cycle of beating myself up because I'm missing the right time to do things and killing everything?!

(or maybe I'll just feel better when I can sit outside...)

but wouldn't it be lovely to sit out in a garden full of herbs?!

Might have to start drying them and using them for something useful though otherwise it'd feel frivolous :D

Don't get me wrong, I LIKE pottering in the garden, but sometimes it feels like an awful lot of effort goes in, for very little return :rotfl: And by planting the entire thing full of perennial herbs, I'd get LOADS of enjoyment, some GREAT tea (!), and lots of cheery wildlife :T :T

Sounds like a winner to me! :D

Just got to kill off that squash plant now... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

(what was I THINKING?! Squash! In my tiny little garden?! :rotfl:)
