We thought.... yay this is sorted now and then last night rang and said "I've got a removal guy for you". We are planning to self move and I've got excellent contacts with the local removal people.

Oh dear...it went in one of her ears and out the other didn't it?

Your OH has to go back and do it all again. And again. And again until she gets it.

The word 'no' has got to be used with more force.

    As in:

    "I've found the removal firm.
    "NO"
"But I've taken care of it for you."
    "NO"
    "But, but..."
    "NO, NO, NO."

Sometimes you have to be this way with some people. Even saying "thank you, but no" can get you into trouble because she may only hear the 'thank you' and not the 'no'.

    Or....
"I've got a removal guy for you"

"That's ok, We are planning to self move and I've got excellent contacts with the local removal people, so it's sorted. Thanks anyway".
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
