I have started the attack phase today. I was on a similar diet about 25 years ago for a few months and lost about 2 stone. However I was a lot lighter in those days.:o
I have psyched myself up for a few weeks and have reached a good stage of dertermination to suceed, hence me starting the diet today.:T
I have never had a sweet tooth and love my meat, fish and chicken, I quite like the oatbran, so fingers crossed.
I am going to try a 10 day Attack phase and strive to eat, little and often to stop me from feeling light headed.
I drink loads of water every day, as it is, so that will be no problem for me.

Does anyone know if you can use Wheatbran to make the Toffee Muffins instead of Wheatgerm?
I intended making them today but I couldn't find Wheatgerm in Tesco, only Wheatbran.
I know you can't eat wheatbran on the Attack phase but I am on the Cruise part.

I don't know about the wheatgerm. In my local Tesco they have moved the oatbran from the "wholefood" section to the cereal section but it may differ in each store.

Yep, that is where I got my Wheatgerm from and the Oatbran that I bought last week (cereal aisle).
I have just read on a couple of Dukan forums that you can't use the Wheatgerm, it must be wheatbran so I will take it back to Tesco and get a refund.
Just found that Holland and Barrett sell Wheatbran so I will call there in the week.
Doh! It means I can't make the muffins now until Thur at the earliest.
I just rang the local health food shop and was told that wheatgerm and wheatbran are basically the same thing and I would find it hard to find wheatbran as she has never seen it.

I can not believe how this diet has totally removed my sweet tooth!
I only started it a week ago and I only have just under a stone to lose to feel more comfortable.
However, I normally eat lots of chocolate and if I am bored will grab a bag of crisps etc.
I had a really bad headache on the second day which is something I never get, maybe had a handful in nearly fif (cough) ty years.
I have had no desire whatsoever to eat chocolate, crisps etc.
I lost 4lbs in the first week and have not felt hungry at all.
It will take a bit longer to lose the other 8lbs which I have been told is because I am not that much overweight anyway.
Will see what happens this week on cruise.

Hi, I've been trying this for the past 8 days . I was 9st 7.5 lbs and now 9stone 2.5 lbs . For my height of 5'6 " I know I wasn't overweight really . Losing those 5 lb has made me feel slimmer as my tummy looks smaller now ! I've found it quite easy to cut out all that I should have. Now I'm going to eat some veg with meat / seafood again. I know I'm never going to be rid of my flab as I'm 50 plus but I suppose I should do some toning exercises too . Anyway , I do have small bone structure but have really never been less than 9 stone 1 in the last few years . Carol Middleton looked really slim didn't she + I'm sure she wasn't really big before she did Dukan . When is the right time to stop + just eat healthily ?0
