I'm guessing you're not on the Dukan Diet then Bretty? Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
Im about to restart this diet tomorrow, i am a little worried about people mentioning strawberry yoghurt as its not allowed on the Dukan diet, also cocoa isnt allowed either.
There is 4 phases to the diet, Attack, Cruise, Consolidation and stabilization.
Attack is pure protein.
Cruise is alternate of pure protein one day and protein and veg another.
Consolidation is where you slowly add new ingredients to your meals including carbs.
Stabilization is your plan for life.
This diet does work if you follow it through, and those who put the weight back on have more than likely not done the consolidation and stabilization fully. Is a Bipolar bear0 -
Hi Dane Katie, just wondering where you read that strawberry yoghurt isn't allowed? I haven't read that in the book and I've ate loads of it in the past month that i've been cruising!
I have lost 10 pounds and only 1 more to go and my mum has lost 11 and she has been eating it too - fat free version of course!!
I have also posted previously that I use it to make the gallettes for a different taste and they are really nice.
To get a fab sweet taste we have stewed rhubard and added a little warm fat free vanilla yoghurt, OMG it's like custard and as rhubard is actually a vegetable (also in the book) you are completely allowed this on a vegetable day!
My mum also sticks a yoghurt in the freezer for 3 hours and says it's just like proper frozen yoghurt (I've never had any so I can't confirm!) anything just to get a different taste and not get bored.
I make up some sugar free jelly - not sure if this one is ok or not as there is no reference in the book but there is not much in it apart from water and again it doesn't seem to have made any impact on our weight loss.
Hope some of these help any fellow dukaners out there - good luck! :T0 -
I havent started this diet yet but would like to know how you are all doing, what are you eating in the attack phase?
Mrs G has been doing it for the last week. All she has eaten is fish, fish, fish, eggs, fish, eggs, fish and a bit of chicken.
I tried to be supportive but this morning I had three rounds of toast, marmalade and butter.

Hi All,
Thought I would say that I have been on the Dukan for about 6 months and stick reasonably to the diet except when I went on holiday ( alright I KNOW!) . However I am happy with it and any diet that allows me to eat a large range of meat and fish is OK with me.
I started off art 253lbs (18st1lb) and am now at 210 lbs(15st) :A and have set my goal at 190lbs.
The only real cheats ( everyone has to have some ) are to add flavour to the bran gallettes and also as I have a very sweet tooh ( no really ). I have about 12 dried apricots a day as snacks which do help keep me regular ( I do like my boiled eggs). Also I do take 1 "over 50" multivit tab a day.
I am pleased and although I will carry on towards my target I will be pleased if I can loose a bit more.

Easy mistake to make. You can have low fat strawberry 'flavoured' yoghurts but you can't have yoghurt that actually contains real chunks of fruit.
Weirdly I haven't actually lost much weight at all on this diet but (and it's a big but) people keep commenting on how good I look and how much I appear to have slimmed down. I certainly feel a lot better than I did back when I started.
I will admit to cheating a couple of times and I will certainly have a slice of cake tonight at a friends wedding reception.
Has anyone else found that if they eat anything with carbs it makes them feel really rough?
A friend bought some chips round from the takeaway for me and I felt guilty about turning them down so I ate a few. Normally I wouldn't have had a problem eating the lot but I ended up with a really upset stomach after even though nobody else had a problem.0 -
Can veggies do this diet? I dont eat seafood, just before i waste any money0
