Argos are not going to steal from you they are either going to be late delivering or worst case refund and tell you to get lost.
Consumer champion if you like - but actually, Thorn-in-Side of a Retail Rip-Off outfit was all I set out to be after starting off as a non-complaining individual who suddenly found last Wednesday that said Retail Rip-Off merchant was heartlessly breaking promises.Yep, Zelda, Call of duty 3, Happy Feet, Ice age and cars (for DD, Play with an extra remote, extra nunchuck and a sports with a tennis racket, steering wheel and golf club which fits to the wii remote and also a classic controller. So full house here.

But why are you taking delivery of the Wii for him when you said it would be better if he paid at his local Argos.?0

I am considerably older, and only now am I beginning to understand the old country chiding remark "You hardly know you were born, do you?"0 -

Did you know that the Chief Executive of HBOS plc, the one whose offices are besieged tonight by Farepak customers is only 7 years older? I wonder if he has a Wii in there to while away the hours till he can escape and do the rest of the Christmas shopping:)
I didn't know that. I imagine if he's got a Wii it's at home though.0 -

On 20th November we were in Charlton Argos buying cheap DECT phones also to be used abroad (yes various adapters are needed but it is still often cheaper and here in UK there is the widest choice).
While we were in there and I was browsing they excitedly came up to me and said Peter guess what, they can guarantee Wii delivery for 8th December and so we have paid an extra £5 for guaranteed delivery and the rest of the money up front, and it is all checked with Head Office and a confirmed order, and we have given your address and contact number so isn't that brilliant!? You'll get it on the 8th and bring it on your next visit! Yes I said, GREAT news!
OK, does that help? It's really not complicated, is it?0 -

Have to say - when I got COD3 on the Wii I couldnt wait. Having played it..it kinda wasn't how I imagined...
The movement with the numchucks is OK - no problem really, but using the controller to shoot and move..like a mouse just doesnt seem to work very well. Also, to throw grenades for example, you actually need to move your hand to reach the buttons at the top of the controller, which means you lose aim - view goes everywhere, and your dead lol. It's maybe just me tbh, and takes a long time to get used to (which I've heard). Just thought I'd give you the down low.
Oh just one more thing. I'm defo no massive gamer, but I did find a few jerky/pausy moments when the game was in big battle scenes.. - not bad enough to put too much of a downer on things though.0 -
