To win a case for libel the plaintiff must prove:
1. The words complained of are defamatory.
2. The words complained of refer to him.
3. The words complained of have been published to a third party."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Hi, I'm also an Ann Summers organiser. I have only been working for a few weeks, and I think that the way you have been treated is absolutely disgusting. Obviously this other PO wasn't serious about her job, and just wanted to make off with her money. Or, she could have just started and not had proper training and didn't quite know what to do just after she left the party.
I must jump to the defence of other organisers though, not all PO are like that, I know some fantastic organisers who have gone very far in their job. Sure they've made mistakes, I made a huge f***up of money in my first party! But not one of them I know has done this. I'm sure that you will get this matter resolved as AS is a very reputable company.
Oh, and the lace body you bought, did it mention only to handwash on the garment label? I know most products like this require only a gentle handwash lol.
Good luck.0 -
Sorry I totally forgot about this thread!
Basically I am banging my head against a brick wall. Ann summers say not their fault and the organiser has never made any any attempt to contact me. Ann Summers refuses to give me her details hiding behind data protection (but passed mine on to her without my consent ) so my only option would be small claims court, which for such a small amount isn't viable.
So looks like the organiser has won, and I'll never get what I paid for.

christine this thread is nearly 4 years old - not sure why you are dragging it up now with a comment which firstly bears no relation to the OP's issue and secondly the post you have quoted was quite clearly a joke. If you work for Ann Summers, you need to ask the permission of MSE to post on their behalf.0 -
new poster + offers advice = abused by an established poster.

Some people might find that a bit less than useful.0 -

My comment was not intended to abuse the new poster, I just didnt understand why a thread which hadn't been touched for nearly 4 years was being brought up now, with advice which had no relation to the questions asked by the OP and in any case the post she quoted was a joke! I asked if she worked for Ann Summers because of the advice she gave, which if she did she would need permission from MSE for.
I don't see how any of that is unreasonable or abusive!0 -

They are a new poster so would have not been familiar with the board. They found a thread and may not have realised it was an old thread, they read some posts and offered advice on returning a product and you just posted a response having a go at them for doing this. Its not remotely welcoming and I am guessing you may have put that poster off from posting again. Still at least you manage to disrespect them so well done, I hope you feel proud of yourself.
On a side note it seems highly unlikely that the poster does work for Anne Summers, nothing in her post sounded like an official corporate response. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
