It would only be libel if that email were sent to someone else, other than the accused. It is not libellous to accuse someone of something, so long as you only accuse them and don't tell anyone else.
To win a case for libel the plaintiff must prove:
1. The words complained of are defamatory.
2. The words complained of refer to him.
3. The words complained of have been published to a third party.0 -
So the libel case would be against the party organiser if the email is telling the truth true.
If the email isn't telling the truth then the organiser has a case against Ann Summers.0 -
my wife had a problem with anne summers.
she went into the shop and asked for the tartan vibrator

This reply arrived yesterday, but I only got it today as I've been in hospital with my ds while he had his tonsils out.
Thank you for your recent correspondence. I have fully read your email and I
can understand the situation, however this situation is different from what
could take place in a shop because the Party Organisers operate on a Self
Employed basis any dispute between the Party Organiser and your self would
need to be discussed between yourselves.
I have passed your details on to the party organiser so this matter can be
resolved.

I'm really annoyed that yet again I've been fobbed off.
Don't know what to do now, my hands are a bit tied at the moment because I'm going to be stuck at home looking after my ds. Also I never gave permission for him to pass on my details to the organiser, she didn't have them as I just put my order on the same order form as my friend and her mum (didn't seem worth wasting a whole order form just for one item and I was paying in cash) and they were all supposed to be delivered to my friends house. Surely that's against data protection or something, he can't just go round giving people my address and phone number.0 -
Hi Looby, I did Ann summers partys for 11 years and no matter what went astray at a party you can't go around accusing people of theft unless you are 100% sure they stole the item. You can't keep guests money to replace lost stock that is theft. You are entitled to your bra and a free gift for the stress this has caused you. I would also write a letter to Jaquline Gold as she runs the company and would be very upset to see what this is doing to the company. All in all it was fun doing the partys and even better with the guests who made me have some superb nights and so many friends that l made who kept me in business for that 11 years.0
