  • Hi,

I wrote to LLoyds asking for details of all my charges for the last 6 yrs (using the address given on this site). The 40 days are almost up and I've had no reply. What should I do next? I read somewhere that I should follow up with a phone call? Who do I call/where?

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Helen

If you don't receive a reply within 40 days. Send THIS LETTER.

I sent a letter off in october 06 asking for my bank statements for the past 6 years ( this account has been closed for 2 years), i waited the 40 days and got no reply so i phoned and i was told it would take abit longer to get these statements, i waited another week and phoned again to be told that they would contact the place where the statements would be coming from then they called me back and told me they would be sent out very shortly but i have still not recieved anything from them yet they took the £10 that i sent to recieve my statements, i am so cross but i am unsure what i need to do next, any help please.

  • Hey to all, I was just curious if anyone else had difficulty getting the full 6 years of back dated charges? I sent the first template letter asking for the records but recieved in return only 14 months of past statements. Any advice on how I get the full records? Can't help but feel I'm being fobbed off.

Some banks send the statements out in batches. They have 40 days to do this. If you are still within the 40 days, sit back and wait for the rest. You can complain only if you don't receive the rest of the statements within this time.

  • As part of The Limitations Act 1980 you can claim back 6 years of charges, i have it in black and white here from the solicitors of my old bank who i've only just successfully claimed from.

Try sending another letter, this time using the templates given on the main site.

    Hope this helps!
