Same has happened here 40 days and still nothing from the Alliance and Leicester, and I even phoned them about day 20 to see what was going on and they said they would send them again. Odd thing is the cheque was cashed in super quick time0

Kentlad wrote:Hope someone can help, I am at stage 1 of reclaiming bank charges, I sent the standard template letter and £10 to Smile bank (which they cashed!!) asking for a detail of all charges etc.
The sent a standard letter back stating "under the data protection, we will give you this info within 40 days".
However the 40 days is now up, (Today) I have had nothing from them. What are my next steps in getting this info, as the have taken the £10 are they not breaking the data protection act by not giving me the information I am legally entitled to.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Ian.
With Smile logon, use the secure message facikity and remind them - saves postage, time and you know it must have been received!!0 -
i sent the first letter to lloyds tsb 42 days ago and still havent had a reply has this happened to u and if so did they ever reply0

Two of my ex-banks have about 10 days left of the 40 to get back to me with my statements and I've heard nothing. Shall I send them a letter reminding them they have until xxx date to reply with my statements or they will be reported to the info commisioner?
What do people think? Seems like their going to ignore, so might as well give them a nudge.
Thoughts?
