Sue,
If you're up to it you could have a look on freecycle for some pots. Know EXACTLY what you mean about the house - I have to find the bedroom floor once my assignment is done next week.
Glad to hear you are feeling at least a little bit lifted.

I believe you have to have under 15k of debt so you might not be able to do a debt relief order (DRO) - sorry. Have you had a word with one of the debt charities recently? If you don't feel up to speaking to someone face to face right now you can use the online CCCS calculator thingy which will give you an rough idea of what might be best.
Even if a DRO isn't suitable there will be a solution.
Oh and I'm not sure if you thought I was having a go earlier - I wasn't honestly.

Edit: I note you spoke to the CCCS earlier re a dmp review - did they suggest changing the plan? Might be worth looking at other options. On the other hand perhaps this is just a blip finance wise?Making my money go further with MSE :j

Hi Sue - another option for pots is to check with places that sell flowers - sometimes they sell off old flower buckets, the black ones that the flowers stand in. Locally I've bought them for 10p each and they are a good size, though ideally you need to make a few drainage holes. Do try Freecycle - though I think you have to offer something to give before you can advertise. It doesn't have to be much - vouchers off cereal packets, cuttings off plants... quite easy to get started.
Good luck

As I have googled & know roughly where you are now.
If your eldest son was to move out might you have a student lodger to help with the £££'s?
Under the rent a room scheme you can do this without paying tax.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
