We’d like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum.
This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are – or become – political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

I love Westminster's "Style Guide" on LLZ - can't wait for the next episode! Thanks Westminster!
Also - how nice is my little sticker - What a great idea to protect new posters. Thanks MSE!0 -
Yes, come on, MTG, get an avatar. As it looks like we may be stuck on MSE for evermore, we had better get in the spirit of things and learn to LIKE IT.

It was personal.
Who is the moderator - you have 4 choices:
1. Jeffrey
2. Jeffrey
3. Jeffrey

If you are undecided you can have 50/50, phone a friend & ask the audience, if it helps.
LLZ credibility has now completely gone for me.

What is so fascinating is what other MSEers will think of this apparently very weird thread.
Let's have some contributions from regulars like Doozergirl....RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
Its like starting to watch a long-running soap opera for the first time... you know something is going on but its taking time to decipher a) what it is and b) who all the characters are and how they relate to each other. I'm just wondering if its going to turn into one of those "must be home in time to watch it - can't get enough" soaps or one of the "is that drivel on again - why don't they have proper story lines" shows. Or one of the "I enjoy it when I watch it but I just don't have time to keep up with whats going on" soaps.0

There have been some epic threads like "buyers want to bury their dog in my garden" that just ran and ran and for ages we didn't know if it was true. In this case we know its true but the story line is slower moving.
I wondered what would happen in reverse. I doubt MSE-ers would start a thread on LLZ. I'm surprised you came here rather than somewhere like Fool or singing pig.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Really I think we all just wanted a corner to huddle in. There had been so many strange goings on that we felt the urge to take our chats somewhere else where they would not be subject to censorship.
We are a bit guilty of chatting among ourselves as well without considering that MSE'ers don't know the background of the spat.
LLZ is quite a specialised forum and is very well known for what it does. Maybe we were feeling taken for granted anyway and this just set us off.
In any case, we are all addicted, MSE'ers LLZ'ers and lots of other forumites, don't even try to deny it with your post count.
Sad innit?0 -
Sorry, no offenceI'm sure there are worse places to be!
It's just that we were all quite happy on landlordzone and it's hard adjusting to somewhere new. (And there aren't enough residential lettings questions to satisfy our lust for doling out helpful advice to landlords and tenants). 0
