    Objection!

There is nowt foggy about this thread, luv. It's a beacon of hope in a dismal world.

Yes - a beacon of hope to those directly involved with the LLZ debarkle, but not helpful to a desperate new poster who has been redirected HERE a couple of days ago, after trying in vain to get a response over there, and has now posted within this thread without realising how to get an answer to her specific question.

Wasn't meaning to cast any aspertions on the value of this thread to those involved, merely to point an already lost soul in the right direction.

Excuse me for trying to be helpful - I though that was what these forums was all about!

Sorry, no offence :) It's just that we were all quite happy on landlordzone and it's hard adjusting to somewhere new. (And there aren't enough residential lettings questions to satisfy our lust for doling out helpful advice to landlords and tenants).

Yes, I agree. I see a request has been made to split this forum into separate 'selling' and 'renting' ones as the threads rarely if ever overlap. I think that's a good suggestion.

Do appreciate MSE giving us house-room, though.

Yes, I understand. pizzle84 has already started a separate thread, though, so hopefully she'll get an answer soon:

Seem to recall mentioning that, only to have it rubbished....

    It's b*ll*cks, isn't it?

Sigh..I am saddended that you just seem incapable of accepting that people have different ways of expressing themselves.

And it is pretty classless to just stamp on a message of support (post 8 in that thread in other place). I was the first on record to support you.

    Shame on you.

What is so fascinating is what other MSEers will think of this apparently very weird thread.

Let's have some contributions from regulars like Doozergirl....

I should have set the burglar alarm before I let my concentration go :p And what's with me not being the oldest member in this bit anymore?!

Propertyman, you misunderstand! My reference to no 8 being *1$!***! was related to Rodent's ref. to LLZ's assertion in the second statement made by the LLZ Admin. (#357 on the LLZ 'mtg' thread):
    (8) The sheer number of members offering their support following our judgement has convinced me that we are not wrong.

(It is *1!***! because the only evidence they have of that supposed groundswell of support is anonymous emails they claim to have received - the two they have 'reproduced' could just as easily have been made up! - and a few personal 'kickings' for me by people who are too cowardly to post when I have a chance to defend myself! Plus, as Rodent suggests the number of people, like you, who have openly expressed support for me, far exceeds the endorsements they claim).

It certainly did not refer to your post number 8 on the LLZ thread, for which I will always be grateful to you. I know we do not always see eye to eye, but I really appreciate the fact that you were quick to condemn LLZ admin's punitive actions which were demonstrably half-baked and unfair. I asked jta to post my thanks to everyone who'd expressed support (as I could not pm, of course) and he did that within a few posts of yours.

    Please believe me!

I know this will inflame a few members on this thread, but I am as entitled as the next member to express my opinion. Time to light the blue touch paper and retreat a safe distance …..

Early on in the Llz versus MTG debarkle, I posted my support for her on Llz. I am extremely saddened by the effect this sorry situation has had on a previously excellent Llz forum; many regular, knowledgeable and helpful Llz members have apparently “jumped ship” or keeping heads below the parapet until things settle down again. However justified the ban may have appeared in the eyes of the Mod, I still think it was harsh and judging by the other “un-modded” posts which still exist over there, extremely unfair. No matter how much the Llz Admin try to wriggle and justify it, I have not changed my mind.

However, isn’t it time to move on now? As I see it, MTG (and those supporting her here) have 2 options: Wait out her ban and go back (extremely unlikely), or stay here and/or set up camp elsewhere. Using this thread and the cozy environment of MSE to continually castigate Llz, particularly singling out some of its members by name, is becoming as unreasonable as the banning in the first place. Quite frankly I think its abusing the good nature of the MSE site to use it as a sounding board for the anti-Llz brigade, and I am surprised the Mods here have been relaxed enough to let it continue.

I appreciate feelings have been hurt and emotions are running high, but isn’t it time to make decisions and draw a line under it all? Continuing the petty tittle-tattle and snide comments, is almost lowering yourselves to the level of those you are raging against. Its clear that Llz Admin are not going to back down, and the aggrieved former members here feel the same, so agree to disagree and get on with something more important ……. Right, where’s my tin hat?
