Odd how these members have suddenly come out of the woodwork when someone is down and out and can't retaliate. Also, I wonder if the Mods have bothered to find out if the very members that have claimed the ban is justified, have been the very members on the end of MTG's replies as a result of engaging in a spat on the forum with her. Sounds like sour grapes on behalf of these members as far as I can see. Personally, I don't think the Mods have had time to bother to check the agenda of the parties justifiying the ban, the Mods have just used these e-mails to instantly justify their cause.

(4) MTG in our judgement (and this is without the luxury of a full analysis of 100s of posts) has been the worst offender, but if not, very very close to it.

Well the highlighted part says it all doesn't it. They have just leapt in.

Come on they should make up their mind here. First mtg, is the worst offender, then she isn't, but oh, then she is very, very close to being so.

Very ambiguous, definitely signs of desperation in this statement, throwing everything they can in the pot to substantiate the action they have taken. We need a solicitor!

Interpretation

1. Only reported posts need moderating (possibly)

2. We are only allowed happy smilies & we must not engage in debate on differing view points at a temp >18deg (room temp)

3. Robust debate may sometimes be tolerated, but no swearing or name calling - even if you try to disguise name calling by using big words that most of us need to look up on google.(It seems lots of members do this)

4. Mtg is not the worst offender, but she came in a close 2nd place.

5. If you agree or disagree with an opinion you might voice it & this may offend a halfwit who doesn't understand what is going on or what you are talking about.

6. We owe you nothing.

7. MTG was singled out - fact of life - The right & wrongs can be discussed all day - something is a fact tho dont know what ?

8. Stumped me this one - best i can up with is this was actually the most important one of all - but with typos.

9. When members are on the forum pls be patient and be prepared to repeat posts over and over again. Pls lose the high and mighty 'tude and stop being unhelpful.
Altho we do not necessarily afford our longstanding members the same courtesy over forum matters.

10. We are here to make a profit from your many hours of free service. Advertisers are not impressed with you childish spat pls be good and get back to work.

11. I don't know how to resolve this mess that we have created.

Deja vu. I was sure I posted something saying thanks to westminster for her excellent analysis on t'other side. 's gone.
