Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

I've had a productive couple of days, weather has been beautiful so I've been out in the garden fussing and chopping!

Fussing to me is weeding and trimming stuff rather than hacking and chopping. Took out a bush so thats opened up the garden a bit more.
Been painting and cleaning out the garage too (clutching at straws now to keep busy - lol)
Cleaned out cupboards and have found out just how great those vaccum sack things are, they have revolutionised my storage capacity :rotfl::rotfl:
Spending quality time with OH and having a nice time, laughing lots which makes a change and is nice.
I cannot honestly remember when I last cried either out of sadness or out of frustration so thats good news.

I've just sent off my 2 PPI letters as I have been gathering together all the documents and getting them copied, will wait and see what happens with them - fingers crossed, not a huge sum of money but as Mr Tesco says "Every little helps". :D

Going in to work tomorrow, GCSE results are released to schools tomorrow so some number crunching needs to be done for the DfE, hope its good news, that would be awesome.

    That's about it for now.

I haven't had to look after anything apart from OH since I was about 16 - lol

The garden is big enough for chickens but I don't know if I am ready for such a big step although I do want some raised beds and to grow my own but I don't know where to start.

I watch next door neighbours toddler for my amusement - he is such a sneaky thing, does stuff when his mum & dads backs are turned he makes me chuckle :rotfl:

I peruse the Greenfingered board, but its overwhelming. I don't even know what to plant and when - im guessing if I made some beds now they wouldn't get much use until spring but at least they would be in situ. Hmmmmmm

Well you are not going to be growing much this year. But you can make a start.

There are some great home fruit and veg growing books out there. Also mags. I buy Grow your own somtimes.

Diffrent things need planting at diffrent times. There are some plants that can be started off in a few weeks time for early spring eating.

THe same with fruit. Some are best off planted at the end of summer, ready for eating next year.

Start thinking about your beds. Were is the best to put them so they get the sun? What sort of Veg and fruit would you like to grow.

Now we are comming to the end of Summer. Some of the Garden tools will be on sale. So there will be bargins out there to pic up. You can buld up everything you need over the winter, Ready for next year.
Seed trays and pots will be in the sale at the moment. You can never have too many of these.

    Good Luck!

TooSad, if you have any spare Mr T clubcard points you could perhaps get a magazine subscription to Gardener's World?

Thanks Lara44 I will look into that.

I am still here and still maintaining my positive outlook. Nothing to report on relationship status, apart from we have been spending a lot of time together since the middle of the week. All is positive, not counting my chickens, but keeping my fingers firmly crossed.

One more week off for me, going to make it a good one. Lots still to do.
I was a bit annoyed the other day that I/We hadn't had a break away this holidays, but when I actually looked at what I have been upto, I don't actually think I have missed it, yes it's nice to have a break and just lounge about on a beach, but in terms of achievements and jobs completed this holidays I have done far more than I have done any other summer hols.

I have also spent a long time pouring over the posts all over this forum and really think I have started to get my house in order - not that it wasn't in order but now it is definately more streamlined.

Maybe a break at October half term is on the cards.....hmmmm.
