I went swimming for 8am today!! Whats that all about - lol.

Have been spending today trying to cut down household expenses. Bring this back round to be a bit MSE.

We get by fine and have quite a chunk of money left at the end of each month. But I thought I would look to see if what we pay out is really value for money. Such a minefield. I have been reading and re reading and am still none the wiser.

I think we can make some savings on the mortgage, gas & electric so will persue them tomorrow.

I am trying to cut down the TV,Internet & Phone - thought it might be cheaper to go through one supplier as we are with 3 at the moment but I can't seem to find anything cheaper than the £39.80 we pay monthly for all three. Going to look tomorrow to see if I can find them cheaper with 3 seperate providers.

Nothing to say about me and OH, we had a great evening out the other night and are out again tonight. Seen MIL today which was nice, but only time will tell with OH.

PPI Claims - getting them all (well 2) sent to the various people see what happens with them.

When I say a turning point, nothing has been mentioned about what I said the other day. But im ok with that.
I mean I just feel like everything is coming together and things are going my way and I don't feel like anything is beyond my reach.

Has he not said anything at all? Not even acknowledged your letter Hun?
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Are you paying for everything yourself? Does he contribute anything?

Yes he does, I've just re read it and I can see why you would ask that. The finance side of things has always been something I've taken care of so much so OH calls Martin Lewis my boyfriend!!

I suppose it's a bit of forward planning from my point of view.
If he does move back & I support him financially I want to know that we are getting the best deals. If he doesnt I want to know that I am getting the best deals for me and that I can still afford the lifestyle I currently have.
Either way it's a process that can only be of benefit to the bank balance!

Could you afford to pay everything yourself if the worst happens?

Last night when we went out for dinner he said he had read it, but then we got talking to some neighbours who were also in the restaurant so he didn't say anything else. MIL told me he had been talking to her about it.

Yes it would be a bit tight but I could do it.
Also I hope to be promoted in the next 12/18 months so that will be a hefty pay rise :) so if I was on my own I know at some point in the future I would be back to being comfortable in a financial sense again.
