I'm writing two blogs at the moment - I write quite long articles, up to 1800 words or so, so I only write two a month for each at the moment. I write when the urge takes me, I have to say - they're on things that I'm really interested in, so it might be at any time of the day, though increasingly the actual writing is done on weekdays only.
It's impossible to say about another writer's hours and days - for me personally, I do a first draft in one go, and I'll go back maybe twice more, then a final once over when I'm publishing it. And I need there to be a gap between final draft and publication, because its amazing what you spot after a break!
I have a kindle book, connected to one of the blogs, and I have plans for two others (but no time to do them!) plus for one of the blogs, a cat blog, the intention was to sell card designs on zazzle or the like - not done that yet either
Publicity is the thing - facebook, twitter, goodreads, pinterest, instagram, whatever takes your fancy. And when you're launching a kindle book, you need a marketing setup planned in advance. I completely forgot about the book cover, for instance - and I tried to publicise, it wasn't bad, but I've learned a lot more since then - just looking at sites for writers, people who blog about blogging that you like.

It's taken me a while but I'm finally getting my head around wordpress - really good for blogs but not so much websites .. I honestly would say stick to 1 main one and perhaps write the other 2 when you are inspired - I have an idea that I just have in notepads when an idea hits me I add another note pad in - but the blog would need 20-30 "notepads" to get started in as it's sort of an information one but I firmly believe if you focus on one thing you'll excell at it rather then trying to do lots of little things (which I always seem to be doing the latter to lol)
So fed up right now with £££....somethings got to change things aren't moving fast enough for me !!! It amazes me my own priorities as I've spent near £500 today on bits of photography equipment I needed and insurance (hoorah got that sorted) but I won't pay out £300 or so to get an electric shower fitted as the water keeps turning hot and cold... #sigh.
I need the million dollar idea....People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Good tips on Wordpress, I'm yet to post my first post.. Keep getting sidetracked.
Had my final stage interview for the new job a few days ago and I'm hoping I'll hear either way before the end of the week. My wife and I are praying I get it!
Managed to shift some unneeded furniture on Gumtree for a few hundred £ so that will help with our impending move. The buyer wanted to transfer cash instead of paying cash so I allowed him to transfer into my wife's dormant but overdrawn, old account; don't trust gumtree enough to give my bank details out. Decided to resist the urge to withdraw the cash back across to our main account and will let it clear some of the overdraft..0 -
Morning all.
Things are happening over here, I ordered the machine I needed. This came on Saturday, set up on Wednesday, but as I was using it something popped off. I couldn't see where it came from. So I called amazon to ask if they would pay for it to be looked at. They offered £20 which I declined and we set up a collection for return. A few hours later I had changed my mind, so called back as I was thinking this can be covered under the 3 year warranty. The new person apologised and said I will be refunded and I can keep the item. but the courier still came yesterday, so I called again, they said it was a mistake and my refund has already been paid. yay!
So this is the first week of my new budget plan, It is Going o.k but on my spends I have gone slightly over, because I owed my grandma money for some flowers for a funeral and I over spent on my weekly budget, never mind today marks a new week and I still have 80%of it left. I don't feel too bad for the first week. Also used half of my machine money to pay bills or chip some off rather. The rest will be split between my holiday, Christmas and weekly spend funds.
Need to call the manufacturer now and arrange collection. Also my side job that I currently fund my business from has a lot of work going this month, so I have taken on a lot of work to boost next month's payment. everything is finally going right.
Let the business and budgeting commence!

Friday is my day to do this, too. Although here in the US the kids are off school so little one will be at daycare and big one and I will do some fun things. I'll make a small amount of time for MSE actions.
Happy Friday everyone.Your biggest asset is TIME! I'm focused on multi-generational financial freedom.0 -
Well done night rider......great progress. It's all coming together now for you.
Remember guys......
Persistence Pays Off. .....One of my old sales training mantras.
This Morning I had another nice little premium bond win - another £25 to the savings pot.
Budgeting still going well but I did have a little spend .......a cream crepe blouse and some navy leather loafers but as they were half price I am ok with that. Both much needed items to add to my new "minimalist" wardrobe.;) the brown/black Paisley jacket was an impulse buy but as it was £3.50 from a Chazzer it doesn't count.:rotfl:
Still madly decluttering and "kondoing". YMCA came this morning and lifted some unwanted furniture - OK for upcycling but not really valuable so decided to donate rather than trying to sell. Also got rid of the second freezer - don't really need it and it just uses up extra leccy. This afternoon we are doing a tip run.
A life of "elegant simplicity" finally beckons......still got some way to go - need to revisit my bedroom and the study next week for Kondo part 2.
Received the legal pack for the flat from the solicitors so need to go through that later.
DS2 made £1400 on day trading.......unfortunately it was a "training exercise" and not for real. :rotfl: we still don't feel confident enough to go live just....... It's a big leap of faith and we don't feel quite ready yet.0 -

Doing some overtime at work this morning, and the first order of business was registering myself a domain for the blog I'm creating ..
Going to make some appearance changes this afternoon and then begin stockpiling some posts that I can put out on a weekly scheduled basis.
Any tips fellow bloggers? I'm looking to link with Google Analytics and maximise traffic for now; monetisation will follow in future0
